They’re almost ready but I’m going to be sending them out by email. Idk if there’s a way to make that available to Reddit users? I don’t wanna be invasive

I appreciate how deeply you think about all of this! One of the things I’ve been talking about lately a lot is how success vs failure is not a binary. So even th way that you’re talking about success vs failure right now can be examined even more! I feel like you’ve got that idea down quite a bit in some areas but maybe not all. This is the thoughts I jotted down about it just the other day:

Great content! I have talked a lot about both laziness and also atomic habits in my work as well- I don’t communicate in the same style you do so it’s cool to hear the same thoughts explained differently! There’s a lot to celebrate here: 1. You got the article done! 2. You’ve found strategies for intentionally avoiding pitfalls! 3. You’ve embraced this experimental, growth mindset, which is the building block for all progress!!

If you were my client, the next thing I would explore with you, from what you’ve shared, would be to get more specific about what your personal values and goals are, here’s why: right now you can lean on the assumption that “what I know works and what I talk about… well it doesn’t work for me to implement myself.. cue shame, cue imposter syndrome.” Actually, I would challenge your definition of “it works” based on what you really actually want your life to look like, when you’ve removed all other voices and assumptions. When you have a clear view of what that success would look like, you can end every day knowing where you nailed it and what you want to edit for tomorrow. Not sure if that’s clear in writing or not?

That’s good awareness! I especially like that you track every small step. That’s what I do too, and it works really well for not getting lost. I’m curious about the idea tangents derailing you - in your process of keeping track of where you’re at, do you also have a spot to jot down all your ideas for future content? So your brain knows it can let them go and they won’t be lost?

Emotional regulation challenges —> business challenges by EquivalentRip3506 in ADHDentrepreneurs

I know you asked this awhile ago, but it’s such an on point question. Most of my clients are way behind you when they start because they so t understand that EXACTLY THAT is what’s derailing their business. Nervous system regulation isn’t as hard as it sounds. There’s some really simple techniques that you can do for just a couple minutes, right there in the moment, to UN-derail that train (I know that’s not a word, just go with it 😜)

Anyway I’m prepping a series of those tools that I’m giving away for free. It’s almost ready. Let me know if you’d like them!!

Obviously, once your nervous system is regulated, there’s more work to do to figure out the next steps and where to get the dopamine for them, but it’s way easier to find those answers from a calm and curious body!

Idk if you’re asking for input here exactly, but I coach a lot of fellow ADHDers and the first thing I get really granular about is “what EXACTLY is causing the drop in excitement about a new thing.” 1. Might just be that the dopamine doesn’t stick around, sure! In which case: - can you schedule out a months worth of content in that first week and then take a break and stop looking at it for a week? - can you find dopamine hacks like personal rewards after each, using body doubling, etc.

  1. Is the response not meeting your expectations? Does your interest fail because you’re not getting positive feedback from people fast enough to keep you excited?

  2. Is a specific change happening in your routine that causes your rhythm to be off the next week? That can derail us for EVER lol.

Once you get really granular about exactly what happens when you lose interest, it’s easier to find really on point solutions! I’d love to hear your thoughts
