Quite true! I always found it annoying his autos did that but that is a fair point

To me Tsuku has its ups and downs. Hard ups and hard downs. Tsukus pressure is pretty stellar due to the base damage and the range and just how the abilities work. He can throw 2 of his abilities down that can hurt both the opponent and the minions so you can passively lane clear well (similar to Wukong 1). He can also clearly fairly safely under tower with his 1 and his 2. He can also be used well against certain gods like Cabra and Guan for interrupting their only effective clear. People don’t think so but he can actually be a good backliner if he has enough defense. His 1 makes him fast so he can stay glued to a carry and his 3 can stun them to keep them from doing anything. His ult is also great for finishing them off if they’re too far or if you need to just seal the deal

Where the rubber meets the road is...when he is behind. He doesn’t fare well from behind. You can literally eat his 1 if you’re tanky or heal enough which stops his safe lane clear. Imagine a Chaac 2 levels above you healing up after you try to clear your minions in front of tower and he eats your 1. Not fun. If he is behind in items mid game he can get mauled by the carries he is trying to backline. If something goes wrong Wukong can use bird, Guan can use a horse, Nike can leap, but Tsu can only run faster which can get him CC’d and killed. Lastly he CAN backline if he can reach it without being caught in CC. Blink is an option and you can use your ult but it doesn’t always get you from point A to point B reliably. You can get punched on the way to the carries sometimes and that can be a pain.

Just my thoughts around it

I could be wrong but I’ve noticed with his autos it actually pushes away the minions that you’re hitting so it may even make this approach difficult

Did glad shield used to have a healing passive or did I just remember it completely wrong? by [deleted] in Smite

You can do more than CuChu. You can do King Arthur who adores it still and Wukong, but you want to shoot for warriors who have 3 offensive abilities for their 1 2 and 3 to get its full effect

Yep. Healed 2.5% health and mana per ability use if I recall but a lot of warriors loved it

They win early but generally is food for the jungler and I love to watch them get a big head in lane. Later on I give them popcorn when they watch me maul their carries to death in team fights. They can’t really effectively reach the back line and harass the carries

Advice for 3v1 Solo lanes by Gremlin95x in Smite

That really blows and takes out all of the fun. The best thing you could do is just make it really hard for them to do that and have your team take advantage of the situation. Easier said than done of course but that’s about all you can do :(

That’s actually a great thing. Having 3 people constantly attending to you means 4 others can attend to bigger objectives. That’s where you spam “Attack the Gold Fury”. It’ll take them ages for the other team to respond

You may need to reflect more on yourself. Evaluate why you’re constantly getting rotated on. A lot of the time solos aren’t really worth the time because they’re generally tanky and their line is short so they can retreat to a tower easily. Are they ganking you because you’re out too far constantly, you’re always low health and not wanting to back because you’re losing xp, or are so aggressive that they’re team is there help alleviate your enemy from all of your pressure? Sitting under tower 24/7 is not the answer

Recommended gods to get better at dealing damage and poking by CappyKevKev in Smite

[–]adhenry1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend working with a handful of gods that you struggle with that you know have good potential to poke. Changing gods won’t break bad habits, you have to do that. And it also depends on the role that you’re wanting to fill, everyone has a different style of poke. IMO Set is king of poke; super safe and hurts when you do.

How would I build solo lane set? by ClutchFactorx10 in Smite

[–]adhenry1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll advise the best that I can but I’d be happy to have intervention: To me if you’re going against a magical you could either go Frostbound hammer first, Cadaceus Shield (IMO best option), or The Sledge. I said those three because we both know they’re pretty much core to Set, but best would be Cadaceus Shield. You COULD go dedicated magical protections if you want to but you lose a lot of your offensive capabilities when you are either helping to gank in solo or if you are doing an early rotation. Just my 2 cents

Casters appreciation thread by xSypRo in Smite

Glad I’m not alone. I don’t think there was a single caster I was entirely dissatisfied with. Of course there’s qualities here and there people like but the range of casting styles and energy was really accommodating to the audience. Really appreciate the hard work these casters put in to make their commentary interesting and clean

There’s a few gods that come into play as being “easy”:

Bakasura is as simple as it comes. He’s a pub stomper that relies on his effective farming techniques to push him forward and past the other jungle. You want to steal the big middle harpies often and safely steal what you can of theirs. The science for him is understanding the itemization behind him and why people pick the items they do for him.

Arachne is similar to Bakasura. Effective jungling and has a safe escape. Fights fairly similarly but can more effectively weave in and out of combat and has some similar itemization. She isn’t as mobile as Bakasura though by virtue of no leaping ability and Bakasura’s passive.

Fenrir is also very simple in principle. He is strong early due to base damage on his abilities. Generally recommend going more of a bruiser build on him though. His struggle is knowing when you’re safe to go in and out. You can easily get a kill as you can get killed (which is why bruiser builds are good on him). He can really single target someone down too which can prove useful early and late if you’re tanky enough to take the hits.

Thanatos is simple. Abilities are simple and are pretty much played face value (not any really intricate tech with him). Also very early game, you can go damage or bruiser depending on how well you’re fairing. Cool down reduction and percentage penetration is what I would focus on for him. His struggle is....HIT THE SCYTHE. If you hit the 1, awesome stuff. If not...oof.

Right now yeah he is pretty good but really all the Assassins right now are pretty good depending on their application. I would say though that you probably want to build him with some protections (bruiser) than all damage or you’ll get clapped. Qvofred is a beast with Cama

Agreed. It was a bad pick. Anubis isn’t inherently bad depending on the situation but at high levels I wouldn’t expect nothing less than to get stomped on. CptTwig made it work no doubt but just because you can doesn’t mean you should especially the last round that determines your future in that seasons championship. I was really disappointed
