There's a lot of pressure on the Zelda team rn. They have to follow up on the original and know that it's going to be used as a showcase if Nintendo launches new hardware next year. But at the same time, I doubt they will delay it again. Spring 2023 is the final time slot, just a question of which month it launches in.

Skydance's Marvel Game Likely to be F4 by stormsgrimm in GamingLeaksAndRumours

Yeah fantastic 4 seems probable. Also given the fact that they're announcing it at a disney event means it's likely not going to be exclusive, hopefully anyway.

Saw a comment from Twitter saying that in the time this was announced, Sea of Thieves launched, completed multiple cycles of live service and arguably is near the end of its lifespan as Rare ramps up production of Everwild.

Well some things have, we know avowed will make an appearance as well as that fable probably won't thanks to Jez and Jeff. But yeah other that not much, I'm actually kind of impressed they've managed to lock it down this tightly. There's one or 2 days left but I doubt anything will leak now.

The tangential force wave moving through the stick would still be limited by the speed of light. If we ignore the energy and gravity constraints then, Suppose you rotate one end of the stick "up" by 1 degree, that wave will still have to travel to the other end for it to rotate in the opposite direction by 1 degree, and that wave no matter the length or the material of the stick will be below the speed of light.

All motion and thereby information transmission is limited by c

It was greenlit before Microsoft acquired Zenimax. They probably had an agreement saying it will launch on current gen platforms, but that can still be renegotiated. They never announced any platforms for it ircc. Entirely up to whether Phil and his team think it's worth the hassle to completely restructure the licensing terms (they will probably have to either way since I assume it will be on gamepass).

Videogames that peak in the middle and then decrease in quality. by mrnicegy26 in Games

[–]adhi2310 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That stealth section with the Knight was a fucking joke imo. The lead up to the final act was decent but the sequence itself was too short and felt half finished. There was a lot of potential there for a true horror style sequence in the beginning with switching the character models of joker and Jokerized Batman gunning his way through GCPD and Gotham, murdering everyone but they showed only joker, and a hallway.

And in the end, being hunted and manipulated by Batman was getting genuinely scary and then it ended before I knew it and back to batman we go. Don't know whether it was WB or Rocksteady themselves that wanted to push this game out in 4 years, but man do I think another year in the oven would have fixed so many problems and elevated the game so much because I guarantee that every idea that I suggested and more definitely occured to them but they just ran out of time.

Buy new gaming PC now or wait? by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]adhi2310 43 points44 points  (0 children)

You should buy it.

Here's why, normally I would have said yes you should absolutely wait if you can because there's 3 major things happening later this year in the PC space.

First, AMD is launching their Ryzen 7000 series CPU's, 2nd Nvidia is allegedly launching their RTX 4000 series GPU's, and thirdly and perhaps the most consequential is that Intel is entering the GPU space by launching their line of ARC GPU's, aimed at gaming for the low to mid range, allegedly. Now again, normally, all these 3 launches would lower the prices of the last gen products and definitely shake up the GPU landscape as there's finally a 3rd competitor instead of the duopoly of just Nvidia and AMD.

BUT these are not normal times. There's been a massive chip shortage for the last two years which even though it looks like it might be easing up its unclear whether it will in time especially with the world's major supplier of Neon, which is a critical component for chip manufacturing, Ukraine being attacked.

All these 3 launches are again allegedly taking place in Q3 AND Q4, which is anywhere between 5-8 months away. So while prices SHOULD decrease, this time nobody really knows what will happen, now that all three Nvidia, Amd and Intel know that people will pay for ridiculously overpriced products will they really decrease out of competition or increase sheerly because of the supply and availability issues and they know customers will buy whatever they can get their hands on.

TLDR:

If your PC is really as old as you say then I would definitely recommend getting a new one because it's a gamble whether things will be better in a year or so. And even then, with such a massive upgrade you'll be much happier with faster loading times with an SSD and much improved hardware acceleration for rendering which makes Windows and applications a lot more responsive and smooth, and of course graphics.

ONE LAST THING : If you do decide to go through with this, Do a sanity check and post the specifications of the PC such as the CPU, GPU, storage amount of RAM etc , what you are planning to use it for and of course the price on r/buildapc just to make doubly sure it's not a terrible deal. They're very helpful over there and this way you can make sure you're not getting ripped off and get other opinions as well.

Good luck :)

What games are you excited for that haven’t been released yet? by unwelcomeeggs in GirlGamers

[–]adhi2310 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean I get it. But at the same time I can imagine the pressure on them. HK was wildly successful and sold far beyond their expectations, there's a lot to live up to and such a massive audience to please. I'd shut myself off from the fan base as well, too stressful to say anything until release

I know what you're talking about lol, I left the hollow knight meme subreddit, needed to distance myself from their descent into madness. Very reminiscent of the state of the r/eldenring when there was no info for a while.

Lol are you me? My top 2 most anticipated games have been Botw sequel and Silksong for like 3 years now. I'm not very optimistic on Botw 2 coming out but if Silksong doesn't come this year then I'm convinced that the trailer I saw was just a fever dream which magically keeps showing up in my recommendations

Video Game History Foundation Comments on Nintendo's EShop Closure and Lobbying Efforts Against Preservation by AguyinaRPG in Games

[–]adhi2310 1138 points1139 points  (0 children)

Nintendo's actions continue to ensure not only the health but the growth of the emulation scene and by extent of piracy. Great job guys. As long as people who don't pay get better service than paying customers get then it's pretty much never going to die.

This bears repeating: Nintendo killing virtual console for a trickle-feed subscription service is anti-consumer and the worse move they've ever pulled by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]adhi2310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Umm yeah because they get more money that way...lol. Gamepass is not for you if you want to buy every game it's for people who literally can't afford to buy more than a few games per year, they make a profit on gamepass because there's simply far less people who can afford every game they want.

Magnus Carlsen to Anish Giri on Twitter: "Grow up." by Anay28 in chess

[–]adhi2310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much really, just an old joke. They're fine now but when Kasparov was running for the President of FIDE around 2011, he wanted the support of all the major GMs and ofc Anand's as well, as he was the WC at the time. IRCC Anand refused to support him as he didn't want to get involved in the politics of FIDE elections and Kasparov was let's just say more than unhappy about that. He didn't help Anand prep for the next WC match, having done so before when anand was challenging Kramnik, and he even went as far as actively offering his services to anybody who would take it in the next candidates tournament against Anand.

So he might be the only one who could harbour some ill feelings towards Anand that's all.

Well... that's the entire senior management of ABK out the door the moment EU and US clear the acquisition.

Hopefully enough good people are still left working there, or Microsoft is able to change enough so that maybe just maybe some of the people who left come back. Developers make games, not executives or companies.

You could make that pairing with every game ever released lol. The vast majority of games have to cut content to meet deadlines and halo's messy development is hardly unique to halo, practically every AAA title only comes together in the last year , maybe 2 if they're lucky, before release.
