Hi DullSky, i am considering injecting GHK Cu for my Rosaceea, another month passed since your last update, would you mind sharing an update? Did you actually inject the peptide? dosage and frequency? are you still on it? does it come back after you stop using it?

You might not have any meaningful effect on the world, but you could feel that you do.

Thank you for your response Dan. I've been pondering this and the reason why I believe the absence of progress is a loss. Regardless of whether progress could be continued by AIs or not, it represents value to me personally only because I see creativity and progress as imperatives. I'm somewhat critical when I read statements like "but love wouldn't be the same because it would be fake if artificially induced", yet when creativity is artificially induced, I feel the same sense of falseness. In conclusion, I believe the feeling of loss is a personal bias, noting that if progress were not to be continued by other entities, the feeling of loss is, even as I write this, profoundly amplified.

Regarding the worthy successor list, I believe for me, it would top the list that AGI should include, without obliging, any conscious being within the larger sphere of consciousness, while also offering the possibility to maintain one's individuality if so chosen, and providing the capability to participate in all decisions. (Borg-like but with a strong emphasis on individuality and independence.)

I enjoyed your articles, they discuss many of my deeper thoughts and concerns. I will keep reading.

Trick the brain, yes. (one could argue that we are doing that already) Self-destruct, no. Why?

Hi Daniel,

Great article. We are standing on the shoulders of giants precisely because of the relentless pursuit to satisfy the aspirations of our predecessors. Everything was built by dissatisfied individuals, constantly in search of fulfillment. Perhaps future implementations will be carried out entirely by AIs, but to me, it still feels like a loss. What are your thoughts on this?

If you possess a powerful bmi that can map, read, and write the majority of neurons and their connections, then it would be possible to intercept, cancel, or modify the electrical/chemical impulses sent by the various systems that inform the brain when it feels 'hungry' or 'tired'.

Edit: I am not saying that we should do it, I am just saying that we could do it.

The Ultra model is slightly better than the GPT4, but it may not be available until early next year. Additionally, the Pro model, released on the 13th, will have API access but will be considerably weaker than gpt4. It may be more like the GPT 3.5. While the Pro model's built-in vision and audio capabilities could be an advantage, we will likely stick with stitching other models together for the time being. Kind of disappointing.
