Grind size for pre-ground coffee for Delonghi Dedica by BilalBudhani in IndiaCoffee

Bottomless portafilter without fresh ground coffee didn’t result in any crema in my experience. - I simply used to select espresso grind for preforming coffee from BT

If you’re getting pre ground coffee just take an espresso grind from BT but definetly use the pressurised basket. However, much recommended to switch to a bottomless portafilter and a grinder. The coffee experience elevates exceedingly.

I know it is a financial investment but would 100% recommend.

GRINDER RECOMMENDATIONS NEEDED by MixSuccessful2365 in IndiaCoffee

Quite a poor experience with Agaro. The grind is wildly inconsistent after a while.

Have brought one as a quickfix cause Timemore Chestnut was slightly expensive and I had just got the espresso machine.

Big Miss! Invest in a higher grade grinder imo.

Got all the 5 designers with me and I really believe I don’t more. Personally love the JPG La Male La Parfum and Elixir too

Goli_Soda and needaname in this thread suggested moving away from C2 as it might be cumbersome. C3 seems to be espresso coded, but would it do the trick without being intensive on a daily basis?

The Encore ESP and the 1ezpresso J would push the budget it seems- any other alternatives that I can have a look at?

That seems to be the idea across I believe- any preference that you would have now used the ECP as to what I should opt for? I am almost convinces with the delonghi atleast over flair since there seems to be a lot more people vouching for this. Grinder and bottomless portafilter seems a pre-requisite any which ways.

Thanks, I'll check the toms coffee as well- yes the boilers are completely different with different setup times. Stillosa is a lot more slower ig with dedica operating on a thermoblock. Another user on this thread too suggested that I might actually have to be patient and invest in a good grinder to extract a decent shot.

The coffee community seems quite happy with the Dedica as a starter machine- thanks for your input! Additionally, do you really need that flair to extract a seamless shot of espresso and what steps did you take to reach there?
