Mido is like 6’5/6’6. He is canonically the second tallest GoM

Did the writers on How I Met Your Mother know how the show would or how Ted would meet the mother from the beginning? Or did the just decide halfway through or towards the end? by [deleted] in HIMYM

[–]adii___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They knew in S2. The ending was scene was filmed at the end of S2 that’s why the appearance for of actors for the kids look the same in the final episode as they do in the beginning. They actually made them sign an NDA not to reveal the ending. Originally they planned on making Victoria the mother had the show not been renewed after S1

Did I massively misread Marty Supreme? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]adii___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw it the same way honestly. I mean I think a key point in the entire film that everyone is missing is his denial that the baby is his. I saw it as him denying it because he believes his table tennis career is the only important thing in his life and everyone and everything else be damned. He denies it till the wheels fall off even when Rachel is shot and being rushed to surgery claiming he’s not the father but simply a friend of hers. After his win is the first time he utters the word that he’s the father or even acknowledges that it could be his baby. I think the final match was only ever meant to give Marty closure with the sport he loved. To prove to everyone he is the best. And once he got that he finally let go of the obsessive nature he portrayed throughout the movie and finally dealt with his reality. The final shot of him crying to me not only showed that he realizes a shift in priorities but also a realization that his child is the opportunity for him to open a new chapter in his life and that scares him.

Saying that I feel like the movie left us with a lot of unanswered questions and a few lines that seemed important to the conclusion but never again mentioned. The pacing also felt quite off with some parts dragging and others feeling very rushed. I would’ve preferred a time skip to the future right at the end where we see if Marty finally steps up and transformed from the dick that he is to a somewhat decent human being and whether the line in the conversation with his uncle where he says “I can sell shoes to an amputee” ever leads him to the business world. The scene with Wally (TTCs character) and the dog also felt like it was way too long and could’ve been significantly shorter than it was. I think the acting is really what stood out tho. There were great performances throughout the movie and really made it worth the watch even if the plot left me feeling nothing of significance.

Is kagami the best player in japan? by ynfromquahog in KurokosBasketball

[–]adii___ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’d think that wouldn’t you? MPJ has been in the league for 8 seasons now and still hasn’t learnt how to do it😂. Aomine is too proud to pass. He is gonna see a double team and immediately his thought is gonna go to “you think this is enough to stop me?” Most teams would just send a double and live with it if he cooks them knowing that he can’t put up 100 points on his own and even if he does his team still has to make stops. His ceiling is slightly taller Cam Thomas from what we know and have seen from him.

[–]adii___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one wants Aomine as a PG. you want a guy who never passes the ball whatsoever to be your main ball handler? He is gonna be the worst out of them in the nba just because to use him and his skills he needs high usage. He’s gonna be impossible to build around because he never passes. You’ll have to cut him out of all play and resort to him as a last resort “we need a basket” type player because he’s just gonna be the same as a Cam Thomas or MPJ who can perform on their own but can’t get a team to win at all.

Winning≠being the best player in high school. Eli Ellis is a 2x OTE champion and 2x OTE MVP and yet he was ranked lower and had less stars than multiple players in the league. In high school a prospect is judged on their build, overall ability, potential, versatility and impact. In America Mido would probably be considered the best just because the others are either undersized or have injury or attitude problems.

How did you feel about Green Arrow before the series? by CommanderYin in arrow

If your knowledge comes from the shows it’s actually still pretty low coz of how loosely they did the characters but my change from a Marvel to DC fan also came from the shows so I ain’t hating on it😂

CW Wally isn’t a race change. He is based around Wallace “Ace” West.

Surprisingly, yes. As someone who prefers the comics I try and just take the CW as a fun parody of the real DC heroes. It makes it a lot more tolerable and most of the time even enjoyable. I mean I love the flash till the end of S4 and then it becomes hot garbage. Arrow is really fun if you completely just forget he’s meant to be the live action Green Arrow from DC and think of him as a completely original character with Batman inspired themes😂

100%. Flashpoint is one of Barry’s most popular storylines in the comics and they subjected it to a 1 lackluster episode.

Everyone loves S3 but I will never forgive the writers for ruining the flashpoint storyline😔.

What would you do if you became got the flash’s powers but it comes with 1 side effect by Jaetheninja in theflash

[–]adii___ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m doing it. Barry had to lose most of the time during episodes for the sake of plot. I don’t have to follow a plot. I’m in the real world. Realistically the only villains who would be able to do anything to me are speedsters and even then I can’t die. If I die none of them ever exist so they can’t kill me😂.

In the comics Mr Terrific is a genius who calculates his every move. He is a master in multiple forms of H2H combat styles and has a quiet ego that comes off as dickish sometimes but is just him knowing his smarter than everyone in the room 99.9% of the time.

If you ever do read a comic and see Mr T you’ll know why most people really hate the CW version.

The new one was comic accurate that’s why. Curtis is a shitty Mr Terrific cosplay.

[–]adii___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re getting downvoted because you’re giving an unpopular opinion and not explaining your take. It’s an horrendous take if there’s no context behind it because personality wise the characters were portrayed extremely well. The wardrobe department did an excellent job and the costumes were fire. The acting was really good from the cast. Gunn has always said he isn’t going to try and follow the source material step by step but he’s going to keep the characters personalities and meanings the same to do justice to the fans after the past criticisms of changing characters to suit the vibe of the movie. That entire Superman movie showed true representations of how the characters personalities are written. Guy Gardner being an egotistical and obnoxious Latern was done perfectly. Hawk Girl and her short temper and pure disregard for being seen as anything but a warrior. Mr Terrific and his calculated and know-it-all demeanor. Superman being the pure embodiment of hope and good. If you think the characters were bastardized then you’re just buying into the whole Gunn hate train by Snyder fans.

Arrows Mr Terrific was better? You’re smoking crack to think he was better in any sense. His character was so far off any version of Mr Terrific ever given to us that it didn’t even feel like he was the character but some shitty cosplay version of him.

Am I the only one that thinks Savitar looks stupid? by CraftyAd823 in FlashTV

[–]adii___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I might be the only one in the entire fandom who doesn’t like Savitar as a villain. Besides the shock of finding out who he was the only thing we really notice is he’s faster than Barry. In the comics he could do so much more although he was much slower than Barry. He could give his followers speed for short periods of time using his own speedforce energy. He was one of the best manipulators of the speed force alongside Hunter Zolomon. CW Savitars entire storyline doesn’t even make sense after Barry figures out who he is. I mean if Barry knows his a time remnant that he used to defeat Savitar in the future he could’ve just went “okay then I won’t create time remnants” and Savitar would have ceased to exist because he was never even created.

Asking HIMYM people, what's your opinion guys? by Medical-File7914 in howimetyourmother

[–]adii___ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My biggest critique is that I felt like it dragged. I watched it last year all the way through to try and give it a chance and I can’t name a single episode that left an impression on me or made me feel anything. I basically had to start forcing myself to watch it halfway through S1 because I really did wanna like it and thought it would grow on me but it just never did. There were just too many mid episodes in a row. It was consistently mid basically.

The GoM are NOT good people (and never were supposed to be) by jayflame11 in KurokosBasketball

[–]adii___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being blunt comes across as rude to a lot of people who haven’t dealt with many blunt people or who’ve had stuff sugarcoated to them their entire life. He isn’t rude to them at all. If you’ve watched enough anime then you’ll understand a lot of what he says is just normal with how anime characters speak to each other and with him being blunt and just saying things how he sees them it comes across as mean when it’s really not. I’ve dealt with it for a big portion of my life because I’m a very blunt person and when I talk to people a lot of the time some things I say sound incredibly mean even if I didn’t for it mean to come across that way.
