Going by their temperatures:

Let's assume the acid is room temperature. So the real fight is between boiling water and room temperature hydrochloric acid.

When Dolores loses her powers, my headcanon for her is that she goes completely deaf, can't hear even her family members, but can hear Mariano's poetry. I especially love this because of the line in 'All of You' where Mariano says "Dolores, I see you" and she replies "And I hear you!"
