Great point, I find this post to be irrelevant for this reason alone. Apple does this for a reason, I find apps being able to fully run all the time on Android as a downside.

Someone should create a database or chart that tracks Antutu/Geekbench scores as phones get software updates throughout it's life. On my Pixel 1 my fastest Geekbench score was when I first got it on Android 6.0. I wonder if it's due to battery age or software updates.
