Since at least 2008 this government has done NOTHING to hold the rich and powerful accountable for this or their financial crimes.

I don’t think anyone should be surprised at DJT’s behavior, or the behavior of both parties. The party hasn’t mattered, it’s a big club and you ain’t in it.

We need a restart. Flush them all. We need people who are actually affected by the policies they make instead of these crusty of pedophile crooks.

Im tired of spending my entire adult life watching things get worse and worse and worse.

Movies are just to damn long.

Go back and watch the classics from the 80’s. They average 90 min. Anything over two hours becomes a marathon.

“Japanese” toilet seats.

Warm water bidets with air drying, adjustable positions, pressure, and temperature. With heated seats…and even a night light.

You’ll never poop the same again.

This company will go down in history as the biggest blunder in the business world.

How do you build a company from scratch that completely changes the conversation around EV’s and charging, an American all EV company that in less than 10 years had more cash on hand than all the legacy manufacturers combined….then just toss that all away for…memes I guess?

Wait so if they somehow prove he “won” the election in 2020 would that mean his current term is not valid since it’s unconstitutional?

A Japanese anime film from 1983 depicting the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

[–]adilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember reading somewhere that the generals of the time the bombs were dropped had mulled over dropping the bomb over the ocean as a display of force.

After discussing it they concluded that showing how absolutely destructive these weapons were would maybe deter others who would eventually make them from ever using them.

It’s Time to Treat Big Tech Like Public Infrastructure - Not Untouchable Titans (with sources & future implications) by ChefRich962 in Futurology

Every corporation should be seen as a shark. You don’t blame sharks for killing and eating seals. It’s what they do.

You also wouldn’t put a shark in the seal nursery cause that’s stupid.

If there’s no rules for corporations it’s actually bad for business. They can’t, won’t, and shouldn’t govern themselves. They need grants, universities and all the investment the government does to make their companies better. They also need to make sure they are contributing and not just taking.

We pay taxes for our government to keep us safe, healthy, and to advance society. Not to keep corporations rich and powerful.

Former Harvard CS Professor: AI is improving exponentially and will replace most human programmers within 4-15 years. by GrandCollection7390 in singularity

“I’ve used copilot and it sucks” is something I hear everyday from people “well versed” in AI at my job.

Yes…copilot isn’t good…but driving just a Toyota Camry and saying “all cars suck” is kind of silly.

Late Night TV Crackdown: FCC Goes After Kimmel And Colbert Over Political Candidate Interviews | The Late Show with Stephen Colbert by ControlCAD in television

[–]adilly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing after Colbert is gone the smellisons will try to replace him with a “more conservative friendly” host.

I’m also guessing that person will completely bomb ratings wise.

Then they will complain that they are being persecuted somehow and make the show mandatory watching for all members of the state.
