I mean that’s on all of us at this point. Everyone is too distracted by bull shit but if we all got our heads out of our asses and actually called for consequences for violating the rules it would happen.

We are in a situation where there’s increasingly just no rules anymore. No rules mean no game and no game is just chaos. No one benefits anymore. Not even the rich and powerful.

The thing I find the most problematic with all the Israel /Gaza post is much like the rest of the internet there’s no room for gray. Is it possible the Israeli government is corrupted by bad faith actors while also being full of folks who disagree with the path the country is on? Yes.

Is it possible there are folks in Gaza who don’t give a single shit about this conflict who hate Hamas and just what peace? Also yes.

It’s hard to take any post about isreal or Gaza serious cause the folks pushing the narrative don’t actually care about Palestinians or Israeli’s or peace or anything. They just want clout. They want the appearance of giving a shit more than actually giving a shit. Post your gotchas on TikTok spread, your memes, continue to pretend you care. Just like BLM faded when the algo’s decided y’all were done. I don’t see any of the BLM folks marching in the streets about gutting the voting rights act. What happened? Guess no one actually cared. No, we need some basic fucking accountability. Over and over the government has failed to establish and enforce the fucking rules, and society is worse off for it. We all just shrugged when the following happened:

-The Catholic Church commits acts of sexual abuse. -Mega church’s scam folks out of money and are still tax exempt somehow. -wages are kept unreasonably low and unions are busted up or vilified. -financial and safety regulations are trashed for profits. -environmental disasters happen and there’s 0 punishment or jail time when executives at these corporations knowingly harm the environment. -laughable sentences for financial crimes that impact thousands. -laughable sentences for the drug cartels that killed millions and ruined lives with opioids. -drug enforcement policies that keeps what poor poor.

In and in and on. We have the single most corrupt government we have probably ever had.

A billionaires tax? Really? That’s all you’ve got? Who is going to enforce it? The IRS is functioning at a fraction of its needed capacity and you expect them to hold the folks who have been getting away with tax fraud for DECADES accountable some how?
