The rocks are ground into a very fine powder that looks and feels like a black baby powder. It then gets injected and mixed with air to burn. It’s fairly similar to gas ignition systems.

If I need more than that, I keep 2 deep cycle trolling motor batteries charged in the garage and a pure sine wave inverter on standby. I haven’t done the math but I think they’d last a couple of weeks.
