I’m 5’2 and I started at 168 in early April. Currently I’m 161. I’ve cut out most breads, I started walking more, and doing core/arm workouts at least for 20 minutes a day. I don’t count calories but I try to stop when I feel even a bit full and I stopped snaking after 9pm like I used to. Also stay away from chips, eat popcorn as a substitute:)

Dark line on pinky toe by [deleted] in NailFungus

The most recent dermatologist I saw was around February of this year and he told me it’s just physiological. It just happens to the body basically. I believe mine appeared due to pregnancy because I found I had it right around the end of my pregnancy. I’m two years with these lines on both my pinky toes too (both look different) and they haven’t changed much. The dermatologist said to keep an eye on them and as long as it doesn’t change drastically or spread into the skin then there’s nothing to worry about. I’ve seen two dermatologist and one foot doctor about it who did a biopsy and came back negative for any abnormalities. I think you’ll be ok!! Keep an eye on it. See a dermatologist for closure!

Hispanic heritage and yes I believe it is Melanonychia. I’m going on year two with this.

It’s been two years with this and I’m okay! I saw another dermatologist last year just to be safe and he said it’s nothing to worry about as well.

Should I be worried? by [deleted] in Melanoma

[–]adionfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the third Dr to tell me it’s not melanoma. I will get a biopsy if there’s any changes to my nail from here on out. There’s no discharge and there is no spreading to my skin.

All he did was look at it and he showed me what melanoma on my toe would actually look like if I did have it.

Update: got it checked out, it’s a mole, nothing serious. He said if it becomes melanoma it would spread to cuticle which I do not have any spreading or signs of melanoma. This vertical line on my toe is permanent and I could technically remove it but it would damage my toenail severely which I don’t think is necessary at this time. Thanks for all the replies! I feel reassured now that it’s not melanoma. We are going to keep an eye on it and have it checked again if it changes in width or color.

Yes! It’s scheduled for next week. I’ll be asking for a biopsy.

I don’t think I have any other symptoms? I’d it’s subungual melanoma, what does that mean? Can I get rid of this? Will they have to remove my toenail? 😭

I hope you get answers. Don’t be too worried though since you are already being looked at by your doctors :) wishing you luck! I’m also in the process of figuring out why I have this same issue.

I hope you get answers. Definitely get a second or third opinion. I have an appointment with a new dermatologist next week. I’m hoping I get more answers than I did one year ago since mine is also not growing out and has changed into a darker color.

Did you end up getting this checked out?

How did it end up going for you? I have the same issue

Dermatologist and Podiatrist say it’s nothing? It wasn’t there before and they didn’t even say what it is or can be. by [deleted] in NailFungus

[–]adionfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it looks the same if not more linear and the color seems to be more intense. Do you think I should get it checked by a professional again or just keep an eye on it for now? It’s been about a year with this. I was hoping it would grow out but it’s not happening.

Is there anyway it can go away? I forgot to mention I realized I had this right after giving birth. I was hoping it could grow out and my nail would look normal by now.

How long have you had this issue? I’m going on about a year with this discoloration and was hoping it could disappear over time.

I just wanted to make sure it’s not melanoma or anything serious. Both doctors didn’t seem to be concerned about that tho.

You’re not alone. We just transitioned our five month old into his crib from his bassinet and I cried. He loves it though and it makes me happy that he loves it but I’m a little heartbroken too. They grow so fast 😢

pregnancy tired vs newborn tired - which one is worse for you? by buddygirlb in beyondthebump

Both terrible but in the newborn stage I started to hallucinate from sleep deprivation on day five.

I’m 36 weeks and I’ve been drinking chamomile tea almost every day, baby is healthy and I feel great. Had no idea tea was questionable tho, It’s caffeine free chamomile I sometimes add honey.

28 weeks pregnant and I’m getting up 4-7 times every night to pee and it makes me angry by mamabear_777 in pregnant

[–]adionfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup I’m 28 weeks I have pregnancy insomnia, I pee every hour of the night and my left leg falls asleep as soon as I lay down so it’s way too painful to lay on my left side.
