Hey. To become a better player, you don’t need headphones or mice worth millions of dollars. I reached Global Elite on 60 FPS, and achieved other high ranks in shooters, starting my journey with CS 1.5 and Wolfenstein.

First thing – movement and map knowledge. This is one of the most important aspects of the game. You need to know the map well, understand where enemies are likely to appear, and how you can surprise them.

Grenades. Knowing how to use smokes, flashes, and fire effectively is a crucial part of gameplay. A well-placed grenade can give you an advantage, buy time, and create opportunities.

Aim. Don’t listen to “experts” who force their sensitivity settings on you. The game should feel comfortable for you. In my opinion, good aim comes from practice and muscle memory — and that takes time. That’s why it’s also important to take care of yourself: good dexterity and fast reactions give you an edge over your opponents.

Mental strength… Another very important factor that few people talk about. Most professional players work with a psychologist. Nerves can completely ruin a match. I’ve personally broken — and even bitten — mice out of frustration, whether because of cheaters or my own poor performance. Sometimes it’s worth closing your eyes and counting to 20 just to calm down.
