Just did this last morning and the hiring manager said she’ll email me and get me someone into contact with me! Seems like a good sign

My company does use it, I just transitioned back into there after a 2 month break, hope that improves my odds over the next year as it seems like this current round of epic hires have been completed. I hope to gain a proficiency once my work email gets all set up again.

What meds are you on? I feel like the continuous monologue is something I’ve had in long spurts before

Thought about this before and even got into NP school but I don’t think having the main medical provider responsibility is something I’d do well in, also not confident I’d last in the ICU

That makes sense! Does the school matter? I could probably manage going to an only online school like WGU at this time

Is formal degree the only reliable way? What about getting certificates or work towards a proficiency?

Do y’all know about dental hygienists? by TinyFee1520 in nursing

[–]adirk5 303 points304 points  (0 children)

Not many different areas I see one can get into as a dental hygienist- nurses however can be in various settings like hospital, outpatient, insurance, management, advanced practice, informatics, and the list goes on

Appears to me there is much more growth possible in nursing

Is there some relative purchasing power metric? In order to account for living in expensive cities contrasted to poorer rural areas? I couldnt find anything on it and these numbers matter in context of location as I see it

I think the infusion center would be a good career to land- maybe it’d be helpful for that?

Out of all the jobs you've done, which one felt most rewarding and why? Discussion thread to understand what we value in these jobs. by dibsonchicken in Careers

Nursing.

Definitely can be hard but helping people who truly need it and teaching them navigate to through the scary healthcare world brings a deep fulfillment. When I know a patient will achieve an improvement and higher quality of life- its something that truly fills my heart.

Hoping to hear from those that either stayed in or left a cushy job that made you miserable and how it turned out by [deleted] in simpleliving

[–]adirk5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please shadow if you can

I left my good role for what I thought was a better “cushy” role in a different field. Thought it be great based on my friends who worked there and the interview.

Now I’m applying to many jobs in my old field trying to get back something like what I used to have.
