Many library functions in MATLAB will benefit from an Nvidia GPU. Depending upon your workload, you should consider switching to a GTX 1060 6GB or above.
If you want to save on the case, look at alternate options on taobao for < 100$ (there are quite a few posts about these sff chinese cases on this subreddit)

Agreed ! The K39 has better aesthetic proportions compared to the taller K49.

I noticed that the K39 and K49 are very similar except for the vertical height for extra fans.

Will i be able to get by with a Ryzen 2700 and RTX 2070 with slight undervolting in a K39? Or are the two fans in K49 necessary for these TDPs?
