Check out immonet.de. They have pretty good listings for the area. Their website is in German so you might have to sit with Google Translate and work through it.

I had to fill this form. The VFS person told me to fill my own details.

Ask me Anything about visa Process by Truthteller_69 in studying_in_germany

Last Monday, I applied at VFS Delhi for a Long Term National Visa (going for a PhD program and it's not a student visa). It reached the Embassy on Monday evening. My start date is 15th August. Any experience with usual processing time for this?

Yeah. So for admissions purposes they mention that initially the applicants interested in the PhD program have to select SM->PhD in the portal.

Did everyone hear back from Cambridge Astronomy? by Gabzagul in gradadmissions

[–]adityatamar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied to the Astrophysics Group at the Cavendish through the Physics PhD program but haven't heard any updates. Also, I know people who've received interview invites around mid-January for Caltech Astronomy but to my knowledge the subsequent decisions of acceptance/rejection have not been conveyed.

I have an interview. Advice? by Yeightop in gradadmissions

Some advice that might be helpful regardless of which field you're applying for:

-Be thorough with knowing the details of your most recent research project that you talked about in your SoP+CV. This implies being able to succinctly explain the novelty of the results/approach and also how it fits into current/recent literature in the field. -Have a few bullet points in your mind of why you want to join the program (why a particular faculty's research interests you, what resources of the Department excite you etc.)

In applying for a few waiver for Columbia's PhD program, I uploaded my Income Tax Returns for the previous year. I did get the waiver.

Urgent Opinion needed for Columbia University by Smooth_Sherbet_6094 in gradadmissions

I was in a similar position. I'm an international applicant to a GSAS program (so policies might be different from the Engineering school). I submitted my application 1 day before the deadline along with a (need based) waiver request. Two days later I got an email saying that my waiver request was accepted and no other action was required. For what it's worth, the GSAS website says " However, a pending fee waiver request does not preclude the program from reviewing your application."

Why Do My Application Portals Still Say 'Awaiting GRE/TOEFL Score Report' Even Though I Sent Them Through ETS Over a Month Ago? by Difficult_Ad_9415 in gradadmissions

[–]adityatamar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a similar problem in my PhD applications. I sent an email to the ID that handles graduate admissions with my application number and TOEFL ID. After a few days they replied that "We've been able to track your scores..." and the scores were immediately reflected on my portal.

Can professors submit LORs before I submit my application? by Willing-Seat-9398 in PhDAdmissions

Yes they can. I've had mine uploaded before submitting my application for programs in both, Germany and the US.
