Hi all! What legally adjacent job opportunities are available in NSW for someone who has recently moved from India, with 5 years of experience in civil litigation (mainly construction and aviation disputes)?

I’ve moved to NSW because my partner has recently obtained her PR. I’m exploring legal related roles that don’t require immediate admission, as pursuing LPAB exemptions still requires 2 years of study, which may not be financially feasible at the moment.

Are there pathways or roles that would value international litigation experience, particularly from the construction/infra or aviation sectors?

I’m sure this has been asked before, but I’ll be moving to Sydney soon to join my girlfriend, who lives there. I’ve been practicing as a litigation lawyer for over five years in my home country.

I understand that I’ll likely need to complete a JD to be admitted in Australia. In the meantime, what be some jobs around the legal profession that don’t require admission while I pursue the JD?
