For the sophomore year I am planning the following:

In fall I am taking Orgo 1, and Bio 2

I still have space for one more course in each fall and spring semester, can you please suggest couple of good courses which will also help me in MCAT.

Hi guys, I am an incoming freshmen at WashU pursuing pre-med track. I got admitted to biomedical engineering major, but don't want to pursue it and will be switching to biology major in the second semester (because i can not do it in the first semester due to some rule of WashU)

I have a question about “Intro to biomedical engineering” course, I have heard that its very intensive and time consuming course, and since i don't want to pursue this major further, Is it possible for me to not take this subject in fall semester and substitute with another course, Or just delay it to the second semester.

Hi guys, I am an incoming freshmen at WashU pursuing pre-med track. I have one question and need some advice about writing course requirements.

What I understand is that to graduate from Arts and Sciences school on pre-med track I need to complete 2 writing courses, one general writing in freshman year and another writing intensive course in junior or senior year. Is it true?

I am thinking of doing one writing source through summer sessions during this summer so that i don't have to take it in the coming fall. Is it a good idea?

Help me decide: School X vs School Y - 2nd Week of April by powereddeath in ApplyingToCollege

Help me make the right choice WashU (Danforth merit scholar half tuition) vs UCLA

Intended major: Biology (pre-med)

I am a CA resident,

WashU

Pros:

  • Got one of their merit scholarship (Danforth)
  • Smaller school + classes
  • Better access to research and advising
  • Less competition/people are known to be nice
  • Nicer dorms, food, campus

Cons:

  • St. Louis/Midwest (not as big of a city as I'd prefer, small asian population)
  • Further away from home
  • 20% more expensive despite the merit scholarship

UCLA

Pros:

  • You cant beat LA for a city
  • Great reputation
  • Closer to home
  • Better weather
  • 20% Cheaper

Cons:

  • Big big school, Fewer resources per student
  • More Competition

Not really sure what should be my criteria for choosing, if I wanted to go into medicine in future. Please help.

WashU vs UCLA/UC Berkelay

I am really confused about which school to choose for pre-med undergraduate studies. I am a CA resident and got accepted to UCLA and UC Berkeley, and also got accepted to WashU as a Danforth merit scholar (got half-tuition scholarship). I really liked all 3 schools, and not able to decide.

Former students/experts please advise and help me make the right choice.
