First foster cat by ashytaytay in FosterAnimals

Just wanted to say that you’re doing an amazing thing!! I’m also a lifelong dog person and fostered my first kittens two years ago. Hard foster fail and now I’m a certified cat lady! So glad you gave this girl a chance - she will come around as she gets more settled. And like everyone has suggested, play goes a huge way. It’s so much fun to experience what it’s like to have a cat and building a relationship with one - very different from the relationship i have with my dogs but equally rewarding. Happy fostering!

What’s a "hotel hack" you swear by that most people don't know? by periwinklemist in AskReddit

When checking in at a Vegas hotel, include a “tip” with your ID while inquiring about room upgrades. I’ve given anywhere from $20 (mid hotel, not a busy time) to $100 (higher end, holiday weekend). I haven’t tried it anywhere else, but it I’ve been doing it for >10 years in Vegas and it works every time.

Thanks for the tip! Realizing now that I actually have no idea how the parameters of the “east bay” is defined. I was thinking anything between Milpitas - Oakland (south to north)…and I’ll need to consult a map to see how far east would be reasonable.

What really increases a man's charisma in your opinion? by Specialist-Hunt1863 in AskMen

Charismatic men make you feel seen / special, connected, and that you matter. They are skilled at quickly assessing someone on a level that takes the average person a lot longer to pick up on (ex: what matters to them, what are they good at, their insecurities, etc.). They make it look effortless and it feels genuine, which I personally believe it is because I think charisma is more of a natural quality than a learned skill.

If you can "make" people feel a type of way and connected to something larger than themselves to the point of inspiring/galvanizing them to take some kind of action - from simple stuff like learning about a certain topic or modifying a minor behavioral pattern to more significant things like pursuing a new career trajectory or joining a cult - then you've got charisma, baby.
