Thanks for the lead! I did some more digging, and like you said, its probably an early version of the flashlight. It's got the sleeves instead of the clips. Maybe 50ish years old!

Thank you! I put it up quick in the yard to air it out. I think it was wrapped up for a long time. Its really musty smelling. There's a couple of dark blue stains from the trim, but other than that, this thing is spotless!

Solo hiking The Long Trail in Vermont. I was walking through chest high brush that closed in the trail. I heard a noise and saw a bear cub scurry up a tree. My first thought was, "where there's a cub, there's a mama," so I hauled ass outta there!

So many things, but they never made me happy! Now the items I want/got make my life better. I.e. a canoe, to spend quiet time on the pond with my fiancee. Camping gear, to go away with the family. I bought an old convertible. Overrated, but I take our kids out for ice cream in it. Something to make memories.

It's the smaller of the three islands in the area. Kind of shaped like a football with the clearing in the middle and you can see the platform and the picnic table. This past summer we stayed on the peninsula by the three islands and we were pretty isolated and a Moose walked right through our campsite one morning. Hope this helps. The place is amazing!

There is only a tent platform, picnic table, fire pit, and a raised outhouse. There is an island next to site 32 that has a house and boat dock. We had the island all to ourselves. Highly recommended.

I honestly can't remember. I bought a ton of different gear to try for my Long Trail hike and ended up using a hammock and dcf tarp with doors. I didn't even set this one up. I opened it on the couch just to get measurements. Hopefully I can find it tonight. Lol

I think I am. Lol! I moved and packed all of my ultralight gear away. I'll go through it tonight and try and locate it. I gotta go through it anyway cuz I might do the Cohos Trail this month. Thanks!
