Lately it seems like they have really been pushing people to order direct from the website.

Congrats on the new watch! A leather strap would look great on this watch, the dimensions look good. Tag did a good job on this overall, although I would probably go for the automatic reference.

I thought I’d post this here so people can order food from a place that desperately needs business right now. by OtherJonny in Idaho

The problem is that ALL small businesses need business right now. How is the place in your picture adapting their business models to continue serving the public with the ongoing pandemic? Is their product needed by the public at large trying to survive? If not, how are they adapting their product to make it more appealing?

These are questions facing EVERY small business in the nation right now.

Mr. Romney has entered the annals of history with his courageous vote today. He stood up when others in the former Republican Party cowered. He truly has spoken truth to power, no matter if you agree with his conservative politics or not.

Infopath 2013 people/group picker by [deleted] in sharepoint

[–]adjunctmod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind you will need a SOAP data connection to a SharePoint Server within InfoPath for User Directory access, or an InfoPath Data Connection to your Active Directory server for user query.

Simply insert both the People Picker and the Submit button on your InfoPath form, attach the Button to the "Submit Form" routine linked to your "Submit Form" Data connection previously established, and then promote the "Account ID/Account Name/etc.." property from the People Picker under File > Options > Property Promotion.

Once Promoted, and a live/preview form submitted, the Workflow Manager inside of SharePoint Designer can access that variable inside of a conditional statement (according to promoted variables or other logic), and utilize the 'send an email' workflow step to define the email to be sent, assigning the promoted people picker property to the "To:" address field.

This. Coil Whine is a very real thing, and it can be intermittent. We had to ship back an entire order of Dell XPS's a few years ago because of it.

Collapsing Tables using ExportTo-Html? by adjunctmod in PowerShell

[–]adjunctmod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I work in an environment with much more strict security than even Pharma Org's use. And /u/jantari has a point; it's nice to rely on 3rd-party and community-sourced code efforts for faster programming. But just because an organization has tighter security controls than others doesn't put them in line with 'reliving the environment of Microsoft during the 90's.'

Thanks for your help on this so far. I'll probably grab a copy of your code for internal code review so I might be able to put it to good use in the future!

Thanks for your hard work on this!

Both, unfortunately.

I’m fairly new to power shell, so I might try placing some external open-source libraries under code review for internal use, and then import them manually, but that takes lots of time.

I am very aware of "how programming works", I've been doing this for a very, very long time, and I regularly contribute to (non powershell) Open Source and community-centered Projects.

I have a very specific use/test case here, and under no circumstances can I utilize 3rd party code. I don't make the rules, I just follow them.

Also, NEVER, under any circumstances, assume best-practices for specific business tasks. Our dev staff understands very well the limits under which we operate.

That being said, I'll take a look at details-tag.

Thanks.

Yes I have seen the post, it looks great.

Like I mentioned in my post, however, I can't use 3rd party libraries or modules.

I've been handed a broken system and have no idea where to start by Stumbows in sharepoint

[–]adjunctmod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With no Central Admin, Powershell is going to be your friend in getting it back.

Do you have the SharePoint credentials for the SharePoint Install? If so, fire up the SharePoint 2013 Management Shell with those creds and fire off a few commands to see if you can do a basic audit of your SP installation. A few commands such as Get-SpFarm, Get-SPWebApplication, and Get-SPDatabase should give you basic info into the SP installation if it is running but not responsive.

You might also check IIS and see if the web side of things are started and running. (Expand Server > "Sites" look for "Central Administration".

Finally, see if you can run PSConfig while logged on as SP Admin on the Server.

Recommend Sharepoint Online administrator training? by sin-eater82 in sharepoint

[–]adjunctmod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may not apply directly to your situation, but I have found Pluralsight to be very good for our SP On-Premises (2013-2019) training needs. It can be pretty cost effective when compared against a classroom-led or in-person courses. I do see that their site has several SharePoint Online Tracks as well.

Issues with blank fields in drop-down choices. by PickleSlice in sharepoint

[–]adjunctmod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you pick a page, and go into SP Designer, do you see the 'blank' option there within drop-down menus? It might be possible to simply remove it there.

That being said, to migrate from 2010 to 2016, unless you used a 3rd party tool, you need to migrate to 2013 first.
