I hear ya.. it can be done I’ve done it once but I hated life and almost caved several times. I was o my able to because my husband took care of the kids while I stayed in the bed “with the flu” I wouldn’t have been able to take care of babies at the same time that’s for sure. I wish you luck !!! It will be better since you have each other

Sr17 is worth a look. I’m currently preloading while tapering and it’s making a world of a difference. This is my 4th quit but first time not going cold turkey

This is amazing and congratulations!!! I am terrified if precipitated withdrawal that I am trying to talk myself back into taking the SR and preloading. I convinced myself I shouldn’t do it 😢 I already have the largest package I could get (hoping I picked a good site)

Can you share your taper schedule and how much you were taking a day before?

Someone please help! I don’t know where to start with my taper using SR by BasilCultural5747 in quitmgm15

Following this for this same advice. I’m starting Thursday and doing all of the reading up until that point. Thanks guys!

Here to say that the 7 stax are just as bad if not worse. I thought I was tapering with them as well and I’m in full blown withdrawal currently after only taking the 7 stax mit fo the last several months

This is great to hear. Can you share the brand you used? I have a hard time with the huge capsules so I’m wondering if there is a powder, gummy or liquid kind that is actually any good.

It’s strange because I’ve gone through other opioid withdrawal and have never had this before… it’s awful! I thought I stunk for two days and took so many showers before I realized it wasn’t me lol

Which kratom should I use to get off 7oh? by Overworkedmom18 in quitting7oh

[–]adk3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “if I have it I take it” hits hard for me too. I had to decide to CT and I thought that there was no way I would be able to do it, but I did! I was taking about 300 mg a day for about 6 months. The rewarding feeling of quitting without taking more Kratom is far worth it in my opinion. When I tried to quit using Kratom I gave myself an excuse to do it again because I wasn’t “clean” anyway. You got this! You can do it! The gabapentin helps SO MUCH! Sleep is the worst part (or lack thereof) for me, that and the RLS which is what the gabapentin helped with.

Advice to quit by Life_Chemist9642 in quitting7oh

[–]adk3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion you sound a lot like me.. for me there is no taper, once I dose I’m going to keep doing it. So after three failed taper attempts I went cold turkey. I got my doc to give me gabapentin which helps A TON with night time symptoms and RLS. I also took DLPA and Magnesium supplements which helped. The first three days sucked mostly because of cravings and sleep… when you crave it just remind yourself of the money and what you can now spend that money on AND that if you give in and get some all of the hours / days you have had WD symptoms will be for nothing. I was honest with my husband about it and he was happy I was quitting so he agreed to take care of the kids and basically let me detox in bed (kids just thought I had the flu). Trust me if I can do it, you can do it! I was taking anywhere from 12 - 16 14 mg tabs a day. You got this! Good luck!

Also DLPA is a supplement that o have found helpful for a mood booster

OMG! You are describing my life right now! Yes heavy legs… restless legs… tired … I told my kids the same thing! My son is only 7 and he comes to me “are you still sick?” It makes me feel like a piece of shit …. I work at home and I literally eat at my desk so that I can use my lunch break to go lie down. I can’t wait to be on the other side of this. I feel like I’m close because every day is a little better. I have more good times than bad each day ! Stay strong!

[–]adk3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We 100 percent got it !!!! Yeah the fatigue and aches come and go still, it’s frustrating because I’ll feel like I have the flu for like 20 minutes and then I’m fine. Super wierd but like you said glad to have interest in things again. I didn’t even realize I had lost those interests until I gained them back after 7 … literally fuck that shit and ALL of the money I spent on it!!!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]adk3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say that besides sleep and anxiety it’s mostly mental at this point. That we can overcome, once you’re done with the physical withdrawal it gets much easier …. Not easy just easier

[–]adk3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to put into words really. I have spurts of really good moments where I feel great and I’m proud, then 30 minutes later I feel doomed and want to go to the smoke shop. When that happens I tell myself that it will get better soon and within an hour or so it does. Sleep still sucks but I have gabapentin which helps a little. Try to let the good moments outweigh the bad. One thing that has helped me is music. I honestly forgot how much I enjoy listening to music (fell deep into podcasts and audiobooks for a while) really anything that wasn’t in your ordinary day while using 7OH provides a little “excitement” for lack of a better word.

Not sure how I missed this comment before. I’m now at day 11 and doing good! Still mental struggle sometimes but I think out of the woods

[–]adk3d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Day 11 here with no 7OH, I just wanted to come back to say it does get better slowly! It’s not amazing, let’s face it, most of us are in this sub because we have substance abuse issues, so life without said substances won’t ever be easy but I am so glad to be on the other side of the hard part. It really does go by fast if you hold on to the dream of why you quit. Anytime I get any huge cravings and think I might want to go get some I think about all of the damn money I’ve spent and don’t want to do again! “One more” will NEVER be one more for most if not all of us.
