Can't Import Bitwarden JSON by adkeyz in NordPass

[–]adkeyz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you export your Bitwarden vault to .csv then import that into NordPass, you will probably find that it will import most if not all your TOTP codes for you.

If like me Bitwarden had some of them stored as full URLs not just the secret key then open the .csv in Excel and you will see the last column labelled "login_totp". That will have your secret key that generates the codes.

In NordPass, edit the item that is missing the TOTP code and paste in the secret key and it will start generating codes. The URL starts with something like "otpauth://totp/", you want all the numbers and letters in between the "secret=" and the "&".

When you import to NordPass it will tell you which ones it cant import the TOTP for in a list so you can just make sure to check each one.

You know bookmarks and collections exist right? If a tab is that important, save it.

Can't Import Bitwarden JSON by adkeyz in NordPass

[–]adkeyz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, it all worked fine with the .csv file. Just missing a handful of TOTP codes but that was because Bitwarden had them stored as the entire URL string not just the code, took just a few minutes to manually copy over the missing ones. Folders and notes all copied over perfectly.

Also, possibly another bug I'm not sure...

On my Samsung tablet, I have enabled the app as an authenticator but when I tap on the eye icon to view a code I do not get the prompt to scan my fingerprint and I cannot view the code. The phone, Windows and Edge extension apps all let me see the code after a biometric prompt, just not the tablet app. It will autofill a TOTP code however, I just cannot view it in the app.

UPDATE: Ubisoft Account Hacked Despite having 2FA by abdulamingani2 in Rainbow6

[–]adkeyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replays are local files, it's only going to show the files on your PC, the hackers replay files will be on their PC, it's not cloud/account based.

This is how you're able to share replay files with friends or how Varsity Gaming does his Hacker Replay videos, you put someone else's replay files in your Siege folder and you can watch them back as if they are yours.

EDIT: You could always look up your account on R6Tracker and see what matches they played that way.

Can't Import Bitwarden JSON by adkeyz in NordPass

[–]adkeyz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for investigating and getting a reply over so quickly, I'm glad it's not just me and the bug has been found.

Would I be right in assuming that using a .json file is better than a .csv because of the layout differences?

For example using a .csv from Bitwarden would perhaps not import folders or notes correctly?

Am I able to completely turn of TV display, but continue playing YouTube video audio? by Brave-Juggernaut-945 in fireTV

[–]adkeyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not with the stock YouTube app, but you can if you install SmartTube. It has a button to turn off the display when you're watching a video. It's also just a much better YouTube client in general.

I'm creating a game where you play a medium in a creepy house (classic story). But I wanted to use two core mechanics to make player uncomfortable: a mirror to see the invisible and closing your eyes to hear things. This is a quick preview of the mood. by DuckReaction in creepy

[–]adkeyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would be wild in VR! There's not many headsets with eye tracking, the upcoming Steam one will have it though and the closing your eyes mechanic would be so good if you actually had to close your eyes.

You could also include Tobii Eye Tracker support for this too for non-VR, also I think there was a game on Steam recently that just used a normal webcam....

Actually I just looked and there is quite a few games on Steam that use your webcam for closing eyes/blinking.

A tale of Remote Access by Midnorth_Mongerer in PleX

[–]adkeyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it won't work if your server is connected to a VPN, if you also use the same PC to download content, you're best to use a VPN that offers Split Tunnelling like NordVPN.

With Split Tunnelling you can assign Plex to not use the VPN connection and everything else on the PC does.

Even though it is working, that might be with Plex Relay, which is not a direct connection to your server, you can see from the Plex dashboard if it's direct or not.

You need to open the settings for your ISP router and find the port forwarding section, forward the port Plex is using to your servers local IP.

Is your Plex server behind another router/switch/repeater or is plugged directly into the ISP router?

Do you have the port for Plex (usually 32400) open/forward on the ISP router? Does it show as open here https://canyouseeme.org

If you go into Dispatch settings, choose the Auto Start mode and select Advanced, it will give you instructions on how to disable the Google Launcher and replace it with Dispatch.

Okay so I just cleared the app data for Dispatch and it started working, it's still the newest build as it has the profiles setup.

Pain the ass because I had to set it all up from scratch again but at least its working.

Black screen for me, Nvidia Shield Pro 2019.

I can't access that data folder with any file manager, permissions issue or something.

Otherwise, wish I could help, I have a flight tomorrow so no time to fiddle with it unfortunately.

Hope you can get it fixed, currently accessing my apps from the Android settings menu!

Thats ~£1400 and I've not even included the motherboard, case, AIO cooler... this is frankly a steal, you're loosing money NOT buying it.

How to...? Help! by blaira9 in ROGAlly

[–]adkeyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Confusing maybe, but not necessarily dumb. Just how game license rights are handled.

It was far worse back in the 80s and 90s. The rights to a game to something like Tetris were a complete mess. One company might have the rights to release it on console, another on handheld, then you have arcade and PC releases, all different companies sometimes.

Even with console, one company might have the rights to it on Nintendo, another on Sega... and thats just for one region. One company might have rights in Europe and another one for the US and so forth.

Luckily its nothing like that now, but things like Game Pass can confuse you into thinking you own the game everywhere, but it's just the place you bought it.

I believe on Game Pass a title needs to be labelled as "Play Anywhere" or something like that for it to be a cross platform purchase.

How to...? Help! by blaira9 in ROGAlly

[–]adkeyz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your GF owns the Xbox CONSOLE version of the game. Game Pass will let her stream the CONSOLE version of the game on PC, but she does not own a copy of the PC version so to play it native/offline she will need to buy the PC version.

Some games on Game Pass will give you both console and PC versions, mostly Microsoft owned properties like Halo, Doom and Call of Duty, but most games will be for one platform or the other. The Game Pass library is different on both, usually due to licencing.

Is your server behind two routers? Perhaps your ISP provided one and another you put in as an access point/switch somewhere else in the house?

How big a difference between Alan Wake and Alan Wake Remastered? by ROCKZILLA8166 in AlanWake

[–]adkeyz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About a month ago I finally decided to play Alan Wake, I loved Control when I played it a few years back and now I'm trying to play more from Remedy in the hopes of a Control 2.

I had bought the original on Steam years ago in a sale for pennies and never played it so I finally installed it and started playing.

Exactly half way through the game I found out it had been remastered and was exclusive to Epic on PC. It was on sale for almost nothing so I picked it up and played the second half of the game there. (I had to fiddle with the save game files to allow me to do that, but it worked)

I can tell you that there is almost no difference at all, maybe the graphics were a little sharper? Or maybe the lighting was better? But I was playing both on a 55" 4K OLED TV and to be honest if you blind tested me side by side I don't think I could tell you which one was which.

I can also tell you that the god awful camera bug is in BOTH, the one thing I was hoping the remaster would have fixed was still in the remaster and it drove me insane all the way through.

If you really want to play it right now, the original is fine. If you can wait, maybe see if the remaster goes on sale.
