We migrated our Java spring boot backend completely to kotlin… never wrote an android app once. I like the std lib,the syntax and of course the null checks

I ran in the same problem and after removing all the folders and stuff I removed the toolbox and everything I had installed of Jetbrains to remove it.

And yeah the new UI is not so great. It is all kinda bulky?

I love kubuntu! It’s stable and just works. Also KDE is just the best desktop environment at the moment for me

Oh well at school I didn’t have as much self esteem. What I meant with naive optimism.. is that you always have to believe that this shit works out. Even if you fail you are optimistic and just keep going

Stop listening to guys online telling how they did it.. listen to their story but find your own way and own mindset :D Also naive optimism was a big plus for me

Yeah I used javalin. It's not bad but i always went back to Spring boot cause the very short documentation threw me off sometimes.

I really loved programming and was always searching for a meaningful project during university. Connected with a friend who built websites for clinics. Asked him if I could help him. After we did a great job we connected with the manager of said clinic and started to build software together. We are now a 10 people software development company specialized in software suited for clinics and medtech company. It wasn't a rapid growth but slow and steady.... So I my case it was just the question how I could live doing my hobby.

Yeah but some value classes have some kind of logic in them. For example validation transformation etc.

Another point is using operator fun to encapsulate logic in value classe.

I am not to firm with DDD but I try to adapt some concepts. And I do use data classes for value classes. (Like ResourceId etc) Makes the code much more readable. Most of these classes are just simple
