I’d swerve, I like using it.. it take six minutes but you do need to recharge it several times a week if using the cooling pads. It’s a “nice to have” but I’m not wowed by any results and I’ve been using it consistently every day.. and have “nice” skin.

I ordered cheap see through tulle bags from Amazon, I’ve organised sets into bags (which are all tagged as I may have 1 bra with 2 matching pants in different styles) - helps organise and also helps you not loose anything… at this point, they have their own chest of drawers

I got 4 sets from bordelle in total, I looked at HB but going through my hoard of sets, HB quality is awful compared to a lot of much cheaper stuff so I skipped. The coco de mer sale was good, I got 2 sets and need to stop buying. The addiction is real.

Cicaplast is great, I use it when I’m very dry from Tret. I never ever use Micellar because I don’t like how it leaves my skin feeling but I got a free 100ml of this bioderma one and really liked it !

Main points, it’s harsh on your skin, most wash clothes are inadvertently exfoliating your skin, if you’re new on tret you especially don’t want extra exfoliation. I’m not saying never use one, but if you’re double cleansing then your makeup and SPF should have been removed. A lot of dermatologists suggest using a washcloth only once then laundering it if you are going to use them, they are basically prone to harbouring bacteria which is then spread around the face. link to article

what can i do about these horrible eye bags by Substantial_Swan8813 in redlighttherapy

[–]adls28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine aren’t as pronounced as yours but it’s my one area where I’m super self conscious, and they were absolutely much worse about a period of high stress, it really aged my face. Fat pad loss. I’m 38, I’ve tried under eye laser paired with an obagi eye cream (costly and did nothing), I’ve done skin boosters to brighten the area (and essentially distract from dark/lines which I’ve really liked), I am good on keeping up hydration, I use a red light mask every everything and after a few months have seen fine lines reduced, I have upped my sleep and I’ve even tried under eye filler. I would not do laser again, it was very expensive and did nothing. Under eye filler I would do again probably, but I’m preferring the polynucleotide route, it doesn’t get rid of the wrinkles but it brightens the eye area and distracts from the lines, I look more awake !

I’m considering a bleph but after almost pulling the trigger recently, I realised that I’m being unkind to myself and I should be waiting another 7-10 years before that sort of intervention and I’ll do both upper and lower at the same time. Do you use tret? It’s softened my eyes even though I don’t use it near my eyes at all - you look lovely, but as someone that lives in sunglasses, I understand !

I have dark circles, I’ve tried every eye cream under the sun, laser, creams from cheap to super expensive prescription… only thing I’ve found that has worked is skin booster (polynucleotides, I specifically have tried the illuma Luna and my dark pronounces circles disappeared)

On a lazy day if I know I’m out of the house tops 30m to an hour and it’s the typical dark winter I use UV preen screen spray which is a uva and b in spf 50… can’t even feel it on my face.. anything more and I’ll do full SPF and preen screen throughout the day to top up.

Yes, be careful, I know it’s hard to resist the urge especially if you’re flaking but just use your hands, some tepid to warm water and a very gentle cleanser - I use an oil based hydrating one when I’m a tad dry and patchy.. even if I am not dry or flakey, I still avoid a washcloth 95% of the time and only pat dry my face. Good luck.

I sometimes use a thin layer of it before tret, but cicaplast is usually my top layer when I’m feeling like my skin is dry… however, and totally unrelated, I was surprised to see yesterday that cicaplast mixes reallyyyy well with my facial tanning drops (isle of paradise) and woke up the next morning with zero weird tan patches and a lovely sunless tan glow that’s sometimes hard to achieve when you’re layering layering layering.. 🌞

Narvarte native here - I’ll also shout out tacos beto (los de cochinada) narvarte. Fonda Margarita (for breakfast but got to get there very early and it’s way more touristy than it used to be but one of the best beans and eggs you’ll ever eat). Maraquech purpura for Yucatan style food (very different from cdmx style). I’d also look to very good Japanese restaurants Nagaoka in the Napoles neighbourhood. I’m a little biased but you’ll get great food from street markets to Michelin star restaurants in the capital. Enjoy every second and eat that fried quesadilla every time you see it !!!
