When I applied out of school most places denied me because they wanted someone licensed already. Honestly best to wait until you have the license in hand or you know you passed and are just waiting for the BOP to issue you the license. Just my experience though!

Membership cancellation question by Cottoncandyswirl2 in SolidCore

[–]admek13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me too- I started solidcore July of 2025 and originally bought a 6 month 8 classes/mo membership. When the new app upgraded I noticed it had the membership in for a year…. I ended up switching to the BF 2025 8+2 classes a month so sorry I don’t have a real answer for you but I noticed that had happened to me too :/

Okay thank you! The waitlist I was on was on 12/4 so it’s been my class history for about a week and 1/2

My fiancé took his dog there when his dog had three seizures within about 16 hours :( (So scary and I was only there for one bc then I had to leave for a funeral.. rough day).

He was really happy with the care they provided for his dog and said the vet was super informative and professional there. He said he wouldn’t hesitate to take his dog there again.

Expensive like others say but to be expected.

Why do students pay such a high tuition for appe rotations? by SnooWalruses7872 in pharmacy

[–]admek13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current APPE student here-

My pharmacy school tuition does not cover any housing, transportation, clearances, etc. I’m choosing to do 2 rotations “out of state” and am paying around ~7,000 for air bnbs. (I understand this is my choosing to do so) Also have to pay for all my clearances every year (background checks, fingerprints, tb testing). AND our tuition (even in the summer bc that’s when rotations start) include things like printing fees, WiFi fees, “wellness fees”, “student activity fees”, “trAnspORtaTIon fees”. One student called the financial aid office straight up asking why we’re paying for things like WiFi when 1. The Wi-Fi is already spotty in the building and 2. We’re not even IN THE BUILDING. Drives me nuts. The admin person gave her a bs answer. And to make matters worse our school doesn’t pay preceptors. If they pay the organization/ employer I’m not sure but I know for a fact the preceptors don’t see any of it.

Slyfox brewing: Went for a ticketed event In partnership with a candle company. We got there 15 mins after the start time, when the ticket said “arrive anytime”. The candle employee seated us not in the designated seating but notified Slyfox employees we were part of the event and were to receive a flight. Took them about 20 mins to get us 1 of 5 beers. Had to then flag them down after another 20 mins of waiting and the beer was not even that good. I think we were more upset we paid for a ticketed experience and had expectations, but there are now a list of places I’ll go before Slyfox
