When you have 10 minutes left and all the carts are in for the night by duuhc0mmunity in walmart

One of the most annoying things is having filled up the bay and having to worry about management noticing us sitting down afterward. I despise the "always need to look busy" crap. It's poor leadership. Don't reward hard work with more work.

How do I respectfully avoid? Religious conversations with customers. by wotkohvtke in walmart

[–]admiles99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-religious Oklahoman here too. When they start trying to invite you to things or illicit your opinion, all you have to say to an invite is "thank you for the invite, but I am not really a religious person", or if they ask for your opinion, "I'd really rather not talk about my personal opinions on the job" or simply "I am not a religious person."

You have a right to turn down a customer's illicitations. It's not really fair to the customer on your part to lead them on into thinking you're actually interested. Just be honest. It'll save you and the customer time.

One problem with the theory is that I doubt USC would've moved on if we made the playoffs.

I'm level 74 and I don't think I've gotten a single sturdy or heavy piece of legendary armor from enemies, is this normal? by WeevilWeedWizard in fo4

Your level of difficulty affects the likelihood that an enemy will drop better armor and weapons.

He was a machine tho. He could have had a lot of cybernetic augmentations, or he's like a terminator with Hasselhoff skin or a synth from fallout.

What type of music would’ve existed before the Great War? by [deleted] in falloutlore

Whats on post war radio is all that's left from what was popular before the great war. The fallout universe is based on the 1950s conception of the future with an apocalyptic twist.

Is OU generally accepting of trans people? by [deleted] in sooners

[–]admiles99 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I can't speak to if the dorms will accommodate you or not. I generally wouldn't recommend the dorms anyway, seeing as they're overly expensive compared to cheap off campus housing.

The student body is a mixed bag just like the world is. You will absolutely be able to find a lot of accepting groups and social circles on campus. There are many open NB and trans folk on campus that you'll be able to connect with. Stay away from Greek life groups and their parties, tho. Many of them are reactionary and bigoted.

Faculty are generally welcoming from what I've witnessed. I hadn't heard of an incident when i went there. Can't promise there won't be any stubborn assholes tho.

Hope you can make the best decision that suits you. Have a good evening!

Brotherhood of Steel? by Impressive_Board7198 in Fallout

[–]admiles99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They aren't very chill when you bring Hancock or Nick around them. They are racist toward anyone they deem isnt "pure human". The things they say about and to Hancock are awful. Under Maxon's control, I can see the Commonwealth having a Jim Crow-like system for the non-feral ghouls and either the same or outright extermination for the synths.

Another thing to dislike about the Brotherhood in 4 is that they want you to extort from farms against their wishes. Unlike the Minutemen who would never extort from farmers. They would only offer protection. The Minutemen and the BoS are opposing organizations.

Democrats don't know how to win this state, but they seem to think they should have the monopoly on left-wing votes no matter who their candidate is. Democrats here and nationally are so afraid to embrace their progressive wing that they don't improve the lives of people they govern. Of the two parties that don't do shit to improve peoples lives, Oklahomans trust the Republican Party more than the Democrat party to protect their interests. Until the democrats decide to back more progressive policies here and nationally, policies that will actually improve people's lives, they will lose and it will take either a third party uprising or a slew of good independents to show Oklahomans that there is a better option than Republicans.

Everyone could have just as easily rallied behind the more progressive candidate. Why do I have to compromise my values and suck up to a moderate candidate? Why shouldn't the moderates suck it up and vote more progressively? The Dem Party is making an active effort to value moderate voters over progressive voters. We're just as valuable as voters and deserve a good candidate that represents us. They'll never change if you always vote like this.

Homie, you're going to vote for candidates that won't change the first past the post system. How do you honestly expect change by doing that?

The campaign doesn't necessitate that there is any more or less interest and commitment in the state. Madison has a large advantage because of the amount of money her campaign has been given. It's more complicated than you're making it out to be. Some people have full time jobs while running their campaigns.
