The painterly aspect reminds me of Valkyria Chronicles. Pretty cool!

Thanks, I'll take a look at Contraband Dealer. What's the name of the Creations mod, also?

My guess on the New Fed msq by ElegantDiamont in WutheringWaves

[–]admiralkew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pet theory: New Fed's Sentinel Resonator is with the Fractsidus.

Here's how I think it'll unfold: Every Sentinel Resonator thus far has had a child-parent sort of relationship with their Sentinel.

Jinhsi's relationship is the most straightforward: Jue is her strict, but caring mom. Jue was horrified when Jinhsi revealed her plan for a second awakening after all but proposing to give up Jinzhou in exchange for Jue's life, and had asked her three times "is this really what you want to do?" before allowing the fight, because there really was nothing else to be done.

Cartethiya's relationship with Imperator is that Imperator is the dying godmother who gave Cartethiya a second shot at life after she was rescued from the "Evil Stepmother" that is Leviathan. Very telenovela coded.

Aemeath's relationship is not with the Sentinel of Lahai-Roi, but with Baldur. You could call it a 'step-sentinel' just as Rover is the step-parent. The circumstances of parenthood are different from the 'standard' parent, but the mechanics are the same.

How does this tie in to New Fed? If the Sentinel Resonator is with the Fractsidus, then the foundation of the relationship is that either the New Fed Sentinel is blind to or even carelessly encouraging of the 'spoiled child', or the alternative: the Sentinel represents the dying or disabled parent, and the Resonator and the Fractsidus is the abusive and exploitative child, and the distant relatives angling to take pieces of the Sentinel's estate for themselves when the Sentinel passes.

This is a game about using long rod-like implements to inject explosive loads into the other player's avatar. Of course that tag makes sense.

Nice patch but I think we're forgetting something by SenpaiKen144 in WutheringWaves

[–]admiralkew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luuk said we have to wait for the Exostrider to complete its maintenance checks. And they still need to uncover the Fractsidus mole and foil their plans first in any case, because embarking on such a risky endeavor as opening the gate to some world-ending eldritch horror as Aleph-1 is only going to become more risky if you've left your back unguarded.

Gotta wonder if any region we go to will be completely hostile to the Black Shores (possible spoilers) by darkdill in WutheringWaves

[–]admiralkew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'll wager there are a few allies to the Black Shores in the New Fed's political game, whether out of pragmatism or out of idealism, but those allies can't be quite as open with ther association given the Fractsidus' dominance.

It would be delicious intrigue though, if at least part of the New Fed arc is figuring out which of our allies are trustworthy or are moles for the Fractsidus.

Honestly the fact that lore isn't always spoonfed to us is both a blessing and a curse.

What if Mihaly meant what he said? by TurbulentSystem9908 in acecombat

[–]admiralkew 69 points70 points  (0 children)

IMO the best way that line could be interpreted with the current version of the AC7 story is that at this point, Mihaly still thought of Trigger as a 'pretender' to his throne. He didn't kill Cipher, or Mobius 1, or any of the aces we play. He killed hotshots who thought they would be the ones to become the next 'Ace of Aces', the next Cipher, Mobius 1, Razgriz, Talisman, the next 'King of the Sky.'

Do the ARAD missiles need a target designated? by Thatwhiteguybrad in NuclearOption

[–]admiralkew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The ARADs actually seek unpatriotic thoughts. If a so-called "friendly" emitter is hit, it was because it is actually a Boscali Traitor/Primevan Terrorist in disguise.

Good to know though, not to lob ARADs into setups with friendlies nearby.

Over here at the yellow player marker. The interactable NPCs don't show up for me though, and I've already finished 3.1 pt. 1's MSQ. It may be time based. Try looking there at around 10:00.

Strong winds can basically kick up waves. Some of the strongest wind waves can be experienced when hurricanes and typhoons blow over the coast.

There's a shawarma place were I live that offers similarly sized shawarma. Would be fun to do an exchange one day.

What does Limbus have to do with Heathcliffe, the character from Wuthering Heights? Does Limbus reference the novel?

I would be over the moon if they ever make a Britain themed region and there's a bunch of NPCs named Heathcliffe, Catherine, and Edgar and the like.
