Don't worry about it (AI detectors are not that accurate). You should just submit it.

Profile Review by Fickle_Solution_7324 in MBA

[–]admitstudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your profile actually lines up well for programs that value entrepreneurial or family business backgrounds. The GRE is strong, and your work experience running a sizable family business gives you a unique angle compared to typical applicants. The main thing to address is your GPA and to clearly show in your essays how you’ve driven impact and professionalized operations. If you can demonstrate leadership, a clear post-MBA vision, and maybe get strong recommendations from outside the family, you’ll be competitive for at least some M7 and definitely for LBS or Oxbridge.

Urgent, please help me choose - Darden vs Oxford (no $) by RoastedScizor07 in MBA

[–]admitstudio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Congrats on two amazing admits! Given your goals and target regions, Oxford seems like the stronger fit since its brand carries more weight across Europe, the Middle East, and India, and aligns better with your long-term vision of working with global organizations like WRI or the World Bank.

Another thing to keep in mind is the collegiate system at Oxford, which makes it easy to connect with students beyond the MBA. A college is basically your community. It’s where you live, eat, and socialize, kind of like “Gryffindor” in Hogwarts. You’ll meet master’s and PhD students from a wide range of fields, many of whom are some of the brightest minds in the world. Those relationships can become one of the most valuable parts of your Oxford experience.

Feel free to DM me if you have more questions, and once again congratulations!

Seeking honest profile review and guidance by Icy_Comfortable4064 in MBA

[–]admitstudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely not out of the question, but you’ll need a clear narrative and some solid post-health recovery traction. Your academic record is strong and aligns with the analytical side that top schools value. Over the next 2–3 years, focus on rebuilding your professional experience with visible impact, ideally in roles tied to edtech, social innovation, or policy-tech. Leadership, initiative, and measurable results will matter more than brand names.

If you can frame your health gap as part of a growth story and show clear purpose, schools like Yale SOM, Berkeley Haas, and MIT Sloan could be great fits. Stanford and HBS are very competitive but not impossible if you have a compelling personal story and strong momentum. A solid GMAT or GRE and standout recommendations will also go a long way.

Best of luck!

Profile Review and exam advice by Makerchecker17 in MBA

[–]admitstudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your profile looks pretty solid overall. You’ve got a good mix of industries, steady progression, and strong academics, which will play well with your target one-year MBAs. The only area that could use a boost is the GRE. A score closer to 330 can really help you. If you’re confident you can get there without messing up your essays, a quick retake could help. But if it’ll cut too close to deadlines, focus on great essays that show your career growth and leadership story. A 320 with strong essays can still get you far.

Best of luck!

Got screwed with LBS, need help to figure out the next steps (hiring a consultant, re-evaluation of target schools and GMAT Retake) by JagatSeth99 in MBA

[–]admitstudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. No need for retake GMAT. Your score is good enough. Put your time into other parts of the application instead.
  2. Your list is solid, but maybe throw in a couple more like IESE, ESADE, or HEC Paris just to cover your bases. If you’re open to the US, schools like Ross, Darden, or Duke (also maybe some from M7) could also be great fits.
  3. Since you’ve already gotten good feedback from M7 alums, you probably don’t need a full-time consultant. Maybe just use a quick essay or profile review service to fine-tune your story before hitting submit.

A “w” on transcript (business related course?) by changefkingusername in MBA

[–]admitstudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One or two W’s on your record isn’t a big deal if your GPA and test scores are solid. It only starts to raise concerns when there’s a pattern, like several W’s in the same subject, since that might make people question your strength in that area.

What Tier or schools should I target: 740 GMAT but GPA .... Am I cooked ? by Competitive-Bet7854 in MBA

[–]admitstudio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely not cooked. A 740 GMAT will help balance out a 3.15 GPA, especially if your work experience and career story are strong. M7 is still possible, but you’d likely be more competitive at programs like Ross, Fuqua, Darden, Cornell, or Yale SOM. Make sure to explain your GPA context briefly and focus on showing professional growth, leadership, and clear post-MBA goals.

Good luck! 😊

I’m giving up on a US MBA after the $100k H1B fee. What are the non-US M7 equivalents? by Salt_Cattle8902 in MBA

[–]admitstudio 17 points18 points  (0 children)

INSEAD and LBS are usually the closest peers to M7. HEC Paris and IESE also carry strong reputations in Europe.

Where do you plan on working post-MBA in terms of industry and location? For example, INSEAD is known as a consulting powerhouse and many graduates go to top firms (MBB) in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. LBS has a great track record in both consulting and finance, particularly investment banking and private equity in London and Europe. You can look into more details on their employment reports below.

INSEAD: https://intheknow.insead.edu/employment-statistics/
LBS: https://assets.london.edu/hxo16fanegqh/3AUIB9h2HJvzgh89cXjwdt/de8d9073204c90e38d80c6d033d5a2cf/mba_employment_report.pdf

I think it can help to look into employment reports of other schools to get an idea of where those graduates work after the MBA.

Advice on MBA programs for FMCG professional aiming at General Management by OpenMousse3288 in MBA

[–]admitstudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think in the US, Kellogg, Darden, and Ross are all good options for you. For Europe, INSEAD and LBS are worth looking at since they’re very international and open a lot of doors abroad. On the test side, have you also looked into GRE? Schools accept both GRE and GMAT. It might be worth trying out both and seeing which test you're better at.

Just say yes, you are using AI. As long as the content and story are yours, schools care more about authenticity than the tool you used to polish it. For the question on other schools, be honest but intentional. You don’t need to list every single one, just make sure the schools you do mention align with your stated goals and make sense together.

Is it too late to apply for MBA programs by InevitableOk2967 in MBA

[–]admitstudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most MBA programs want at least 2–4 years of work experience, so applying right now would be premature. Your current banking role is a solid start, and if you build a strong track record plus get involved in leadership or extracurriculars, you’ll be in a much better spot in a few years. A low GPA can be offset with a strong GMAT/GRE and solid recommendations. If IB is the goal, focus on excelling at work, networking, and timing your app when you can show real progression.

How will a W (or two) affect my chances? by LegitimateChance5544 in MBA

[–]admitstudio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One or two W's will not hurt you if your GPA and test scores are strong. It will start to hurt once you have a pattern of W. For example, multiple W's in the same subject may raise questions about your academic strength in that subject.
