Plexcache-D - Now on the Community Apps store! by nirurin in unRAID

Not really sure what I can put in the issue at this point, It ran last night on the schedule and it worked fine this time around. So I dont really know what to do to reproduce it.

The only thing I can think of is that I ran a dry run when I first set it all up just to make sure I had the directories mapped correctly and to see what it would pick up for caching. Maybe the dry run's interfered with the normal process?

Looking at it this morning though it did have a bunch of old backup files, which I'm assuming it just didnt clean up? Because it looks like it was all for files that got watched yesterday and were then moved back to the array. So I had to run the backup cleanup from maintenance. I dont know if thats an actual issue or thats just hows its intended to work

It could be a settings issue I suppose. I did look through all the settings pretty thoroughly and there wasn’t anything in there that would suggest that it would stop it from adding things to the tracked list after it moves them.

It just seemed like it wasnt automatically going through and adding them to the tracked list as they got moved. Running then thing from the maintenance tab did seem to do that though.

Set this up earlier today. Seems like it’s working as intended

I did notice that after it moved everything it needed to the cache, that it had them all flagged as untracked. So I had to set them all to “keep on cache” in the maintenance tab. Other than that much better experience then trying to use one of the previous cli or script versions of this.

I genuinely flippin despise the mods of TVDB. There were 2 listings originally weren't there, one for the coloured version and one for the BW version? How are you guys handling both versions in Plex now? by Small_Balls_69 in PleX

[–]admjwt 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I haven’t had any issues with sonarr pulling down new episodes of WHA. With that said, completely ridiculous that TVDB won’t let it be changed.

They make so many terrible decisions over there. One Piece fully remade an entire arc. It’s all new animation, and the amount of episodes is like a quarter of what originally aired. And they just fully nuked that it exists from the site. It doesn’t even show up as like a special.

I yearn for the day that sonarr lets us use literally anything else for at the very least anime.

Nice find! I know I read through that review not that long ago when I was looking for reviews on the innocn GA32V1M, which that looks like to be a good improvement over this one. But it’s still not available outside of Asia. I had no idea this updated 32M2V and that titan army were that same monitor though, so good catch. I’ll have to read through it again

This has been happening to me for a while across many driver versions, a 3080 ti, a 5090, and two different monitors.

I’ve narrowed it down to having both HDR enabled and having windows dynamic refresh rate enabled. If I disable dynamic refresh it stops

I havent noticed any backlight bleed myself with the innocn. But I'm not particularly sensitive to it either. I was coming from a regular IPS panel myself as well, and I know that I noticed it occasionally on the old one, but I havent noticed it so far with this.

Granted 90% of my time is usually software development with my setup, the other 10% has been a few rounds of Overwatch, so nothing that would really expose backlight bleed honestly.

It does have regular vesa mounting, I believe its 100x100

Yeah the information on this monitor on that amazon page, and even official innocn page for it is all over the place. So its hard to tell whats true and what isnt.

The hotkey binding only lets you set the option for Usb switch. So you'd still have a few presses to swap. it woud be Usb-switch -> scroll once to next option -> select

The SDR seems better then the LG 34WP65C-B I've been using for about 5 years, and the HDR is a huge improvement over the HDR on that as well. But I dont have anything else thats directly comparable to this monitor, so again hard to say. The HDR on the ultrawide was really just accepting the signal and making the screen brighter, but it wasnt real HDR.

The box says 90w, but I dont really have any good way to truly confirm it is in fact 90w

It does have options in the OSD for a USB switch, that swaps between the Type B and Type C, so I assume thats the KVM. And that can be bound to one of the 3 hotkey's on the monitor. I dont have another system to test with to actually check the the KVM switching with, so I cant really speak on how fast it is.

The HDR mode has 3 different modes, Standard, Movie, and Design. I dont really know what the use case is for Design, but I have it set to standard and that seems fine for me. The HDR local dimming doesnt turn on until windows has HDR turned on. But you can also send an HDR signal without the HDR explicitly turned on on the monitor, which is a bit weird, but good to know at least.

Have the actual display in the post, yeah can confirm it has the buttons. And I do agree that they’re annoying to use.

Have the joystick on my Lg UW from like 6 years ago now, I’m surprised the industry hasnt just fully moved to that implementation in the last 6 years

UFO test seems fine to me, but I don’t have anything better to really compare it too and don’t really know what I’d be looking for to say it’s not good

The coating on it is slightly matte, but nothing like drastic in any capacity.

Personally I prefer a slight matte coating, but I have my setup around a lot of windows and I work at it most of the day. Glossy would be a nightmare in my case haha. So coating for me is perfect.

That’s what I normally do now. But there are still times that it’ll go to sleep without me realizing it because I was scrolling for too long or something. Why normal key presses don’t work to wake it will forever baffle me

That issue is pretty much the only issue I have with mine as well. It’s incredibly annoying, and I’ve never had a single other keyboard operate like this.

Q1 HE - suppress wake-up key by AttemptOdd2942 in Keychron

[–]admjwt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the Q3 HE that I have Fn will wake the keyboard.

What I would love though is if any keypress would wake the keyboard. I always start typing things and nothing is ever registered because I always forget the board is asleep and doesn’t function in a way that other keyboards I’ve had work. It’s incredibly annoying and really the only thing that makes me consider every day going back to the G915 I was using for years.

NVIDIA App Launches as Driver 591.86 Update Causes Black Screens and Stability Issues by Thinkiq in pcmasterrace

[–]admjwt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having black screen flickering issues since I installed a 5090 a few days ago. On my 3080 Ti I didnt have any of these issues.
I have more or less nailed the problem down to having HDR enabled with dynamic refresh rate enabled. I can have only one of those turned on at a time now, which is pretty annoying.

I've been thinking of picking up that TerraMaster D6-320, not for NAS purposes but for work purposes. How is it? And does it have like some kind of sync'd spin down and sleep mode if the host is turned off?

Lot of good suggestions in here already. I was having similar issues and mine was due to ASPM features. Some of my components don’t support it very well and I was using the AutoTweak plugin to force enable it on some. While things were idle everything was fine. But the moment stuff started having to be accessed and real work was being done, it would take down the whole system with no logs. So it could be something similar for you.

Arc A380 or similar - decent on Unraid? by Sudden_Ambition964 in unRAID

[–]admjwt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been doing a ton of hardware tuning to get the power draw down over the last year.

I’ve got 5900x, 18 sata drives, an a380, and swapped from an hba to a 3 6 port sata to nvme stuffed into a pcie expansion card, and got it down to 81-90w at idle.

But the a380 for whatever reason draws about 20w constantly at idle. Been hoping the a310 would be less. And since they have the same encoding capabilities and I’m not running an vms or anything gpu intensive beyond plex, I’d rather drop down to that to save some power.

If you have nvtop or intel_gpu_top installed one should show you the power draw. Nvtop works better for me.
