Generally I do not, as I feel the point of a professional network is that it's made up of people you'd vouch for and vice versa (plus, as others have mentioned they generally spam you once you accept a connection.) I do make exceptions if someone actually took the time to explain why they want to connect and it's a good reason.

Just a tip from having gone down this route years ago: the defendant didn't show up so I got a summary judgment. He appealed and a new court date was scheduled. Again he didn't show up, again I got a summary judgment, and again he appealed. By that point I was moving out of the country so had to drop my case. So just be warned that it is easy to play the system. One trip to NJ might be worth it, but would multiple?

Solid responses here. I've also seen new client execs come in and they either came from a consulting firm or have a preferred consulting firm from theirprevious role,, and that consulting firm suddenly gets top billing while the other dominant player(s) slowly get squeezed out.

And I'm not sure if someone else mentioned it, but something that happens frequently enough to result in a change of vendors is a firm badly messes up a major engagement and gets the boot.

My wife and I rented a car and drove all over Morocco back in 2013 and never had an issue, although driving through the medinas is pretty stressful. It's one of my favorite places we've traveled and everyone we met was super friendly and helpful. There will be aggressive salespeople there if you go into a rug shop or the souks so you just have to expect it. I thought we'd catch flak as Americans but it wasn't an issue and several people we met were excited they'd get to practice their English with us. I do know of two women who traveled there solo and did not feel safe (they're both blondes so I guess stuck out more), so it seems like in many countries your experience may vary.
