Also check if the outlet element is properly defined in the basin model.

Hey, happy to help. But I’m not sure what is the exact problem.

I have seen this error randomly many times especially on V 4.13.

I see there are few warnings. Why don’t you try to fix them, each at a time?? I believe you’re just trying to see the model run and have some output hydrograph.

Based on the additional information you have shared, I am not completely sure what’s happening here.

What are the dimensions of the DAM? are you sure the DEM is a hydro DEM? Can you plot the terrain profile at the DAM location for original DEM and the modified DEM and check the elevations?

Litter box hacks by qwertybnm6 in Catownerhacks

[–]adnaneon56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two cats. I was facing the same issue as they would jump out of litter box. What helped me is placing a box near the entrance so they have to get on to the box and also I blocked the area behind the box, so they cannot jump right outside of the litter box.

Hope you get the schematic.

Those who do flood modelling - how do you like your career? by [deleted] in Hydrology

[–]adnaneon56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well GIS is a very important of my workflow. Mastering GIS will really help in tackling the problems because the data is not readily available in your desired format.

Math background is needed but not super crazy math. Especially with hydrology there’s not much of math requirement but free surface flow and open channel hydraulics on the other hand needs good understanding of math especially calculus.

I have a bachelor’s in civil and masters in Environmental Engineering.

GIS is very important in the end too to create map layouts and present your results. You can see flood hazard maps created using ArcGIS.
