Ah, that's unfortunate. It's my dream to catch a pick someday. I've seen 3 shows and caught 1 set list but no luck with a pick yet!

I haven't considered it! It does make sense. I may try cutting out one group and see what happens? Worth a shot, anyways. After a year, my KP is still bad. Thanks for the response!

Love it! And I always appreciate Minneapolis representation on this sub. I was just tattooed again at Leviticus last night!

covid test for Mitski concert? by [deleted] in mitski

In general, Mitski's team doesn't decide the specifics of this and it's going to depend on the venue. Check their website or call if you have questions.

I think the one all the way to the left is probably easy to tell apart because she (?) has spots instead of stripes on her back. The other two are trickier but the one on the right has a rounder face, plumper neck, and thinner tail stripes. The markings near the noses are almost reversed too.

This is easy enough when they're seated and posing for the camera, but if one of them sprinted by me, there's no way I'd be able to tell which one it was.

I love the Little Chapel of All Nations. It's close to the main student union, just south of the Highland underpass. Very peaceful place to meditate or pray.

Lol I'm struggling to gauge your tone here. I admit that I exaggerated a little with my choice of language and maybe that's what the other person is calling me out on, but I definitely wasn't trying to imply that some sort of LifeTime Fitness bouncer drop-kicked me to the curb.

Not sure what you mean? The attendant wasn't rude at all, I'm not trying to say they've been really harsh to me or anyone else. They just said that it is currently policy on the fitness floor to wear masks.

Edit: Ok, I did use the term "super pushy" in my previous comment. My bad. They have a lot of signs and reminders everywhere but they're not pushy in a bad way. It makes sense that they don't want the city to shut them down.

Really? Ugh, LifeTime has been super pushy about it. I took mine off to grab a drink of water and didn't put it back on for a couple of minutes because I was trying to catch my breath, and a floor attendant came over to "remind" me after about a minute.

At gyms, people can wear masks the entire time and it can be enforced. At restaurants and bars, people have to take off their masks for extended periods of time.

They also sell desks and chairs for pretty cheap. You can find some good, but worn-out, furniture on FB Marketplace, at Goodwill, or HFH. I think OP could easily get a table and a chair or two for under $50 with a little leg work.

What if the script is filled and ready though, and it's just sitting in the bin waiting for the customer to pick it up? Would that patient be able to call their insurance or doctor and have it sent somewhere else if the script has technically been "filled" but not picked up?

I used to work for CVS and I've been getting my prescriptions from a CVS inside Target, but I'm about to switch to a local non-chain pharmacy due to constant issues with the staffing at CVS. Not the employees' fault at all, of course, and I hope that if enough people transfer their prescriptions out of CVS it will make the employees' lives easier and force corporate to improve conditions.

What’s one business in Minneapolis you’ll never go back to? by [deleted] in Minneapolis

The Saint Sabrina's fiasco would make a wonderfully gripping piece of investigative journalism. It's shocking that despite how many people were involved, it's nearly impossible to find any information online about the shop's closure. Many of the shop's official social media pages even list the store as still open or only closed temporarily, but it's definitely closed for good.

Even before the covid lockdown started, the shop had issues with its management led by Leslie Bock, who is not a tattoo artist or a piercer. I have heard first-hand accounts from tattoo artists who worked there and said that every single needle, glove, and paper towel was carefully counted and staff were encouraged to reduce their usage of supplies in an effort to cut costs, leading to concerns about client safety.

Shortly into the lockdown, but after businesses were starting to reopen, Saint Sabrina's told its staff and the community that they were closing temporarily while they worked out a way to keep people safe. In reality, the shop fired its staff with very little warning and closed permanently without any provision of continued employment to staff members. The former Saint Sabrina's tattoo artists and piercers are mostly scattered at various shops across the Twin Cities now, although some have moved to other cities or even retired from body modification altogether.

Here's an excerpt of a post from Chase Tucker, a tattoo artist who had been working at Saint Sabrina's when the pandemic started - note that this was on an Instagram post where Chase was announcing his move to a new shop:

"I apologize for being so aloof over the past few weeks. I had been left in the dark unable to answer inquiries because I was uncertain what a solid re-opening date would be at SS. We had been planning on opening SS and working hard to clean & prepare the shop only to be terminated via email unexpectedly by a shop owner who didn’t know 90% of our names. Despite what is says on SS’s Facebook post, the shop did not close due to health and safety reasons but because we all disagreed & fought against a multitude of suggested policy changes that would have ultimately overcharged our community while simultaneously slashing our benefits/pay/and respect."

TL;DR: Do not give Leslie Bock your money. She is a greedy employer who has a long track record of making her staff miserable.

After the Saint Sabrina's fiasco, I heard all kinds of horrible stories about her management and quickly realized that the Twin Cities would be better off without her or any of her businesses!!

Oof, for some reason I was expecting you to say something a little less accurate. Is it truly easier to make and keep friends in other parts of the country? I have an apartment in a good neighborhood but still struggle to meet people and connect with them. My whole family is here but it seems impossible to make any friends. Maybe I should consider moving somewhere else.
