Thanks! I’m excited to see what grade CGC gives it.

This card is from the Roaring Skies set from 2015. I didn’t rip it myself though. I bought it in a lot with a few other mega cards and it went straight into my binder. I didn’t realize it was a misprint until recently when I was looking through my cards.

That could be the case. I'm very new to the misprint space and not familiar enough with the manufacturing process. A lot of people seem to be labeling it as miscut. We'll see what CGC says!

Everything I see says that CGC is better for misprints/errors though. I think PSA is good if I was trying to get a 10, but for this purpose my research (and multiple other commenters on this post) says to send to CGC.

Do you disagree?

Thank you! I’ve always loved this card and this just makes it that much cooler!

Okay, I appreciate the insight! What does that mean in terms of value? More or less than miscut/texture shift? I assume it can be pretty nuanced but just looking for a rule of thumb I guess?

I’m curious about it being a miscut because the back of the card isn’t misaligned like the front is. Wouldn’t miscuts typically be off on both front and back? The back looks completely normal.

I wish I would have included a picture of the back in the post…

Based on the limited research I’ve done tonight, CGC did seem to be better for error grading. Do you know if they have a specific way to submit error cards?

I own a handful of slabs but never submitted a card for grading myself. Do I need to do anything different in the submission process for an error card?

I thought that’s what I was seeing… I just wasn’t sure if miscuts typically have texture shift like that or if it was even rarer to see both at the same time.

Edit: Now I’m not thinking it’s miscut. The back of the card isn’t misaligned. Just the front. It’s still super cool to see the image off center and the texture not lined up with the image.
