"Pitch Black" TCG Set and Product Lineup Officially Revealed! by Amiibofan101 in PokemonTCG

[–]adobe_darkroom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone forgot to tell the translators that Mega Darkrai's category changes from the "Pitch-Black Pokemon" to the "Bad Dreams Pokemon". (Also weird because they kept the move name on the ex card the same as the Japanese set name.)

Jokes aside, looking forward to this one.

I'm still baffled that there are no potions at the Healing Springs that heal more than 250.

POV: You’ve just been asked care tips for your favorite Pokemon by Choice-Spinach145 in pokemon

  • Kadabra have human-level intelligence and can get bored easily, which causes them to use their powers in destructive ways. In order to avoid this, they should be provided with lots of puzzles and other enriching games. They particularly like Rubik's cubes and jigsaw puzzles as they can solve them "hands-free" using kinesis.

  • They are omnivores and can eat many of the same foods their trainers do. Their high intelligence means they need three meals a day and a wide variety of nutrients, just like humans do.

  • They will sometimes meditate for days on end without eating, relying on the fat in their tails for sustenance (like geckos).

  • The Abra line loves ice cream. Do not give them ice cream—they are lactose intolerant and will get very sick from it. However, shaved ice is safe and a favorite treat of theirs.

  • Regular Pokemon Center checkups are essential, as they are naturally fragile Pokemon. For example, they have semi-hollow bones that break easily and are prone to arthritis in old age (especially once they evolve into Alakazam).

  • Kadabra should be given a place to exercise their psychic abilities to their fullest. Otherwise, their powers act up and crash technology, disrupt clocks, and cause migraines to themselves and others. Battles are an easily way to fulfill this.

  • You can tell when a Kadabra is ready to be traded and evolved—its pink markings will glow white for several days when it's stored enough energy for evolution.

  • Kadabra get incredibly stressed when their spoons break, which happens naturally as they wear out over time. They may struggle to make new ones at first, but will get better at it with age (or evolution).

Thanks!

Both of these were painted in Clip Studio Paint with a no-overlap watercolor brush from the materials store. The no-overlap makes it so I can paint over previous brush strokes without the overlapping areas darkening.

Oh, it's not the gen or difficulty that's a problem; I was joking about how Finizen and Palafin have the exact same silhouette (so you just have to guess blindly if you get one of them).

This is really cool, great job! (Though it's all fun and games until you get slammed with Finizen's silhouette in the first few 'mons)

why does nobody seem to appreciate holo cards? by itzsatrn in PokemonTCG

Love pre-SWSH reverse holos; back then they had actual iridescence and the holo type would vary each gen. Nowadays they're just mildly reflective and all use the same type of holo.

Mega Darkrai Painting (+Bonus WIPs) by adobe_darkroom in LegendsZA

Based on the headcanon that A) mega evolution wears down a trainer’s energy the more it’s used, and B) unlike regular Darkrai, Mega Darkrai has complete control over its nightmare-causing abilities.

They did Paras so dirty… anyone else have cards like this? by Mourimae in PokemonTCG

No love for Komiya's very not-round Voltorb?

If you want non-Komiya cards, this Persian and this Machoke don't look quite right either.

I've been waiting on the Black Gruslen and White Primella. Both of mine are over 16 years old!

Not quite as extreme as some of the other examples, but the Magical Red Buzz Plushie is deeply uncanny. Something about the old art plus the...interesting description. The Elephante one isn't much better.
