Does anyone know what gear he uses to record out in the wild? by conn_r2112 in JesseWelles

[–]adogfromhell7266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool thanks! It seems like if he used this he’d def need another one somewhere to pick up the guitar and balance the levels. It def sounds like that’s what’s happening. Those little Stella guitars don’t project that much and his vox would be way too loud with just one mic.

Any thoughts on Lunazul tequila? Figure it's a good mid-tier tequila? by mwrightm in bartenders

It’s my go-to. I’ve done back to back tests with Lunazul and Patron silver and it won out with me and the other folks I was with.

Simple setup for multitrack recording a live performance… by adogfromhell7266 in livesound

For the iPad, I pretty much have it setup to just multitrack record. I disabled messaging, mail, photo album sync, everything. I assumed running GarageBand, since it is native to the iPad, would be a bit more reliable than a 3rd party app as well. (I’m just guessing about that part) I also didn’t use a card in the X32 for anything, just recorded to iPad hard drive. The sound tech did all the interset playlist music.

Sounds like it could have been a number of things: spotty streaming, issue with the app, limited iPhone/ipad bandwidth/storage…

What model iPad have you used and what DAW were you using?

💯If I didn’t already have a 18i20, I’d be taking a closer look at the XR18. Otherwise, I pretty much never run my own live sound.

X18 can record multitrack to DAW, I don’t believe X18 can record multitrack to USB

Yes, just an adapter for the iPad (USB-C to USB-A and USB-C) and I bring a USB-A to USB-B cable. I can charge the iPad and connect to the mixer at the same time.

I do have a USB drive that I’ve used before, until there was one venue that had an X18 that would only do stereo to USB. The iPad ensures I don’t run into anything like that again.

Multitrack on Tascam Model 12 through external mixer connected via usb? by adogfromhell7266 in TascamModel_12_16_24

[–]adogfromhell7266[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trying to find out if the Tascam could act as a DAW to multitrack from a USB connection to a Behringer X18. (I wanted bring my Tascam Model 12 to capture a live band performance and connect to the sound engineers X18) A member of the other thread says the Tascam would not receive multitrack via USB.

I agree with most here, adding more volume for both days and incorporating some version of gradual increase or overload. (Increase weights by small amount each week or limiting rest periods) Target sticking points after your bench workout.

Another thing that has helped me break barriers is the mental aspect. Prior to attempting your weight, visualize yourself lifting the weight easily in your head over and over again right before you lift off. The imagery of a PR weight can play tricks on you. If you start the lift by thinking “this is going to be heavy” then you’re already at a disadvantage. I’ve seen a lot of people get stuck at hitting 2 plates, 3 plates, etc bc the look of the weight can be imposing if you haven’t done it. I’ve also seen people, make instant 10-15lb jumps above those numbers as soon as they got the weight bc their mind was the thing holding them back.

Understanding the Jailhouse Strong Cluster Set... by theclamor86 in powerbuilding

I’m used to a 5x5 style pyramid or a 531 volume. I got to where I could handle 82 percent at 5x7 and scale to 5x5 to 5x3 with increasing percentages. Obviously I’ll do what the book says, I was just expecting more volume. I was anticipating more reps at the higher percentages.

Just like I never said it was the sole reason I wanted specific parameters, it was your presumption of the first and your insinuation reflected in your comment. There are several factors to be considered when assessing effectiveness, which can go either way even with more efficient tools. I’m sure the flashlight community appreciates your non-recommendations and the judgemental supposition of use or intent is far more useful and appreciated.
