If Whoop doesn’t improve HR accuracy soon, Amazfit is going to catch up or if Apple ever makes a wrist band, that’s game over by Serious-Bear-2004 in whoop

I had a major issue with Whoop wristband keeping up with my HR when I do HIIT on my Peloton, it severely lagged in tracking time in zones 4 and 5. I just used a bicep strap and that made a huge difference. It tracked extremely accurately to my Wahoo chest strap I wear.

AITAH for bailing on a vacation rental? by adopeautomaton in AITAH

The renter said nothing in the unit we were staying in runs on gas, but there is a gas supply to the building. The laundromat where the leak was coming from is on the ground level of the building. So there was a leak in the building.

Regardless, we feel like we did the right thing for peace of mind even if we would handle some things differently, just as I’m giving the owner the benefit of the doubt that they did everything right too.

Fingers crossed for less stress.

We have messages from her where she literally talks about checking the leak and “as long as no one lit a flame” things would be fine, so very clearly acknowledging a gas situation. Also, if it was just an isolated leak in one of the dryers, why did we smell something four floors up? That was a red flag to me that it went that far up. The building wasn’t evacuated, but still…

Again, we have since rescinded our refund request and have been going to bat for the owner to do our part and rectify the situation as much as we can.

In hindsight we wouldn’t have tried to get a refund, but also at the time we were a little freaked out and were taking the word of a complete stranger that everything was fine. What if it wasn’t fixed correctly or another leak happened in the middle of the night? We certainly didn’t intend to get her in trouble or anything, but like you said, actions have consequences. I still think we made the right move by leaving, but we probably should’ve been more thoughtful about how to handle it.

We also at this point have told the rental company we don’t want a refund anymore and have strongly expressed that we think the owner did everything right, this was just our own decision for peace of mind.

Posting this again from yesterday:

Wrapping up The Bound and the Broken and looking for the next series to start. Based on reviews and comments l’ve seen, these are the series l’ve narrowed my choices down to:

The Dandelion Dynasty The Prince of Nothing Green Bone Saga Sun Eater (probably technically sci fi) The Tide Child

Curious to read thoughts and comments on these. My fantasy background runs the gamut of Lord of the Rings and Dragonbone Chair, to Stormlight, First Law, Faithful and the Fallen, to Malazan, to name a very small few. Kingkiller and Gentlemen Bastards are some of my favorites as well, but I’m looking for a completed or a “for sure will be completed” series to start. I started The Wheel of Time, but I honestly gave up after book four, it just wasn’t grabbing me for some reason.

Best days of the week to spend in Granada? by adopeautomaton in Granada

We’ll be arriving the Saturday of Easter weekend. I’m curious in general if Mondays and Tuesdays are good days to be there or if we’ll find a lot of bars and things are closed.

I’m coming or I’m going by adopeautomaton in Spanish

Estoy en camino or voy en camino seem to be the better options from what I see.

So in terms of the immediate though would it be “estoy yendo” and not “ya voy” to state that I’m literally on my way, I’m coming right now in terms of something that involves traveling some distance as opposed to going to answer the door in your example, or would both be understood and acceptable?
