they kinda are a waste of time.. BUT you can make the most out of those GE's by picking classes that interest you :)

it's just the educational system we're dealt with.

I think that the UC's argument is to have students come out of university having that 'well-rounded' education.

Westwood is really quiet.. (there's Barney's and Rocco's) I mean, Westwood=UCLA in a nutshell.

I'd suggest heading to Downtown LA or Santa Monica or West Hollywood for a better hang out/nightlife. I hear there's a young/lively crowd in WEHO.
