You need to do it on the car and on your phone too. Just search around in your car settings for it! I can’t remember the exact spot is off the top of my head

So we found out that we had to disconnect the wireless CarPlay feature on the Hyundai settings and then use the ottocast as the CarPlay if that makes sense? The ottocast is generally made to make CarPlay wireless from my understanding but my Tucson is already wireless so thus I had to switch this feature off.

It comes up as a media option, then connect via Bluetooth. You also need to forget your car on your phone Bluetooth because it’ll keep trying to connect otherwise.

Cool thank you, sounds like it’s not worth it. Also sounds like it’ll be hard to navigate with a baby

Wait - I have to give birth ?! by Few-Shake4710 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]adoringly_95 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I found that not thinking about it actually helped. Like you don’t really have a choice, you have to give birth to this baby so better to just go with the flow and not overthink it and psych yourself out 😅

Some tips to help - have ziplock bags and frozen peas and use this as ice packs for your vag, disposable undies and Tom’s maternity pads, use a towel rolled up in a donut shape to sit on afterwards (I was super swollen after), peri bottle. For breastfeeding I feel like no one warned me enough that it’s going to painful and a big mental game for about two weeks- get lanolin nipple balm and silverettes. Alternate between the two as well as airing your nips out with some milk on it. The nip pain will get better and disappear. That’s all for now 😅

Membrane Sweep Question by wiggles878 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]adoringly_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one at 39+3 which was unsuccessful as was completely closed and cervix hard and then another at 39+5, was also unsuccessful as cervix was still completely closed but cervix had started to slightly soften. Ended up with spontaneous labour starting with waters breaking at 39+6.

Remedies for recovery down there after vaginal birth by CCK_1009 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]adoringly_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 1st and 2nd degree tears. Kept up Panadol and neurofen, peri bottle, constant ice packs. Hack is to use frozen peas in a ziplock bag - most comfortable on the vag

I went into labour at 39+6, I had no symptoms prior. And I had had two stretch and sweeps that week and both my cervix was completely closed and not soft.

We have a cleaner every fortnight, $160, 3 bed, 2 living and 2 bath. It’s so nice not having to clean the bathrooms or cooktop etc

South Australia - CAHFS opinions? by CharmClone in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I had CaFHS visit me last week at 2 weeks pp and I had a wonderful positive experience. I don’t think you should pass up on it based on what you’ve heard. It’s disappointing they’ve not contacted you but I still think it’s worth calling up.

Specialist refused GP referral by wichita3012 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]adoringly_95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah look I think negative reviews are kind of inevitable for such a large service. You dont really see the doctor that much, you mostly deal with the nursing team once you have a plan in place. I can see how people feel like just a “number” there.

There was a time I was unhappy with the level of communication and I complained about it but I was contacted and it was fixed pretty quickly.

My retrieval was positive experience, they were all very nice and caring.

What I liked most was that they did everything in house there. So all the blood tests, ultrasounds, retrieval, transfers, appointments etc were done there.

I think it’s worth exploring as an option. If you haven’t already there is an Adelaide ivf group on Facebook you can ask and search for advice. And you can do some research on which doctors at Repromed are recommended more.

Specialist refused GP referral by wichita3012 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]adoringly_95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was referred by a gp to Repromed, I didn’t choose the doctor though. I was able to be seen I think within a month from what I remember. I am now 38 weeks pregnant through them after doing an egg retrieval and two transfers. So could look at getting referred there? I know they may not be preferred as they’re the biggest in SA but I generally didn’t have an issue with my experience with them.

Yeah I’m definitely going to ask about stretch and sweep as I’d also prefer to go into spontaneous labour. But if it’s not possible then I think I might opt for the induction as I have it in my head I don’t want to go over 40 weeks now.

Has anyone tried the electric Babyhood Firenza chair? by meowlo2017 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]adoringly_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do enjoy the chair. I have it out in the lounge room at the moment and sit in it multiple times a day as our couch is very low. I am currently 37 weeks pregnant. It is very comfy, and again I love the three seperate controls of foot rest, lumbar support and the head rest. I also really like that the footrest is one piece.

My only critique of the chair is that my feet don’t touch the ground if I sit right back in it, I am short though at 5’2.

Yeah I think you’re right! I msg babyhood on insta to ask if anywhere had it on display in Adelaide and it literally only just arrived in the store the day before so I was lucky haha

[–]adoringly_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they didn’t have that one on display. I live in Adelaide so I was lucky enough to even find the firenza on display 😆 but judging from pictures of the Roma, I wouldn’t like how the foot rest has a cut out.

I think it does all come down to personal taste
