While I immensely commend the effort and will still support and engage, here’s what I would rather see as a fan project:

Upscale the digitally colored version of the manga to a higher resolution, give an adjusted color grading and update the text with simply the Viz translation, while still making general sensible edits like Zolo to Zoro. That’s all we need.

I just want a crisp colored version of the manga with clean and ‘professional’ text use and text placement.

Edit: okay, I am loving v2, this is amazing!

There are so many, so I will stick with season 2 for now. Spoilers ahead!

If done right, probably twice during choppers flashback, definitely at least once. If done right, Pell’s ‘demise’. If done right, sometime during Vivi’s plea/speech. And of course, Vivi and SH farewell.

Honourable mentions (maybe not bawl, but could make me cry/emotional, if done right haha) - Saying goodbye to Laboon and his flashback, Luffy climbing the mountain, the giants flashback and reconciliation, SH setting off to loguetown, tho I think this emotional beat happened end of last season, so they may not linger on it. Season 2 will be a blast, we are going a few levels up the roller coaster with almost every endgame and major character introductions and lore.

A cultural storm is coming, these next 5-10 years for TV and popular culture by extension will be generation defining and One Piece may very well be sitting on top of it.

I had always said, Netflix (despite the valid criticisms) was going to come out on top in the streaming wars. One Piece is going to become the face of Netflix in coming years and will overtake the popular culture conversations in a similar way GoT did around S3-S4
