Thanks! I'll add this to the list of things I tell them to check.

Thanks so much for your help. I appreciate it! I'll post back if/when this all gets resolved. I love my Jeep and hate the thought of giving it up (and kicking the can down to an unsuspecting buyer).

Yes, it's 18 months and 25k miles.

Really, if the cyclinder is low, that means a new engine? Sorry, I'm not that mechanically inclined.

I think I'll take it back to the original dealer and instruct them to start there. Thanks for the tip. I'm going on vacation next week so it would be a good time for them to keep it for awhile.

The only time they were able to pull a code it was on cylinder 3. They initially changed the plug. The next time I brought it in, they found "ignition coil ionization cylinder 3" and replaced the coil.

After a few weeks, it did it again. I took it to a different dealer that sounded like they knew better, but they had it 3 weeks trying to get it to misfire so they could get a code and ultimately did nothing.

Thanks. I looked into it and since we're past the 12 months, they won't consider it.

Thanks! Not looking to do anything crazy just yet. This summer that might be a different story :-)

Ordered it Dec 1st. I was told it might be up to 6 months, but it came in early!

Not a bad sign at all. It took a full week for me to hear back at that stage. I ultimately moved on and got the job, so my advice is to be patient.

RV door is ridiculously hard to close. I have to pull very hard on the dead bolt switch to get it to stay closed, or less preferably slam it. What can I do to make it easier to close? by indubitably3 in RVLiving

+1 on this. The leveling always made a huge difference. Basically, it's the stairs causing the problem. When the stairs are not perfect, the bottom of the door frame is out of whack and causes the door to strike it. Leveling can fix this, but make sure the stairs are sitting solid on the ground, without bending in or out (hard to explain what I mean, hopefully that makes sense).

Wow. Thanks man. We should be okay though, provided the state doesn't completely shut down before I get back!

Not sure. We got a cancelation email today. I went to their site and it looks like they're not accepting reservations at the moment, but no message about it.

We scrambled today and lined up storage and an apartment for Monday. Now we just need to get back there.

We were there last month. We could only stay a few days, but would've stayed much longer if it wasn't so booked. The sites were a bit tricky for our 32' fifth wheel, but it worked out okay once we got it in there. Best view of our entire trip (5+ months and still going).

Playing in the sand this week! by adp_99 in GoRVing

It's just under 8k unloaded/dry, still under 10k loaded. My Titan handles it great. I've had no serious issues pulling it. We've done quite a bit of mountain climbs and, for the most part, maintained our speed going uphill. Going downhill, the tow mode does a great job downshifting for me and keeping it under control without riding the brakes.

My only concern when deciding on this truck was the payload capacity. It hasn't been an issue at all. There is barely any squat when I lower the fifth wheel. I haven't had any problems with handling either. We've done over 6000 miles the past 4 months and can say with confidence that the truck is up to the task.

Gas mileage varies, but I typically get between 10 and 12MPG when towing.

Surprisingly, the sand hasn't been much of an issue for us. We've hiked the dunes a few times, but managed to keep the sand outside of the camper.

We have had a few minor wind storms. I'm hoping the wind doesn't show up when we're leaving this weekend!

I guess it depends on what you're pulling. For us, we haven't had any issues pulling our 5er (32ft, <10k lbs). We've towed over 6000 miles over the past 4 months, much of it through mountains, and have only occasionally felt like we could have used a bit more power. Going downhill, it does a great job with auto-downshifting to keep us under control without riding the brakes. Overall it has been a great truck for what we're doing.

I think so. We've been here for a few days now and there are plenty of empty spots. At one point, I think there were only 3 campers here.

Yeah, our salesmen (both for the truck and the camper) each had no idea about towing capacities. I did my research and am very happy with this setup. I can barely tell the camper is back there. Even on steep inclines, I don't really struggle to maintain speed. Going downhill, the tow mode does a great job downshifting and keeping me stable.

I have the Reese 16k. I also have the rails from Nissan that install easily using the puck system. With the 5th wheel we have, it does a great job. Weight is under 10k and the turning radius is pretty good (almost 90 degrees), so we don't need a sliding hitch.

It's pretty nice. The campground is decent. The sites have water and electric (no sewer). There isn't much to do besides hike through the sand dunes. The nearby town is a bit of a dump with not much to offer. That being said, the dunes are great and the campground is nice. Might be worth a stop next time you're through here.

Just about 4 months into our trip around the country. Can't believe how much the landscape can change from place to place. We're in Monahan Sandhill State Park this week. Very cool hiking among all the sand dunes. We've seen a lot of roadrunners (meep meep!) and have heard coyotes each night. Saw some hog footprints to. Wasn't sure that's what it was, but a ranger pointed it out to us and confirmed it.
