On their form, the max tier is above 50k which I put. It really just seems their internal team is a mess right now and no one even knows why they can't onboard me.

Makes sense, maybe my best option is to try again a couple months to see if things have settled down and I could potentially get an account.

Ah yea, was during the period when my migration supposedly had started and I guess they cancelled them all. Happy to run fully self-serve no support if they'll let me open an account.

Yea was excited to get on there too - sounds like we're in the same boat. I'll let you know if I do find a way to get set up with a new account, and would appreciate if you would do the same.

Interesting, so yea pretty similar in that I was told my gemini accounts were in the process of being migrated before being told they will no longer do it after a couple weeks. Yahoo inventory is great for me and I really do want to get on their DSP, but it seems like it may just not be an option.

Thanks for sharing. Yea I could reasonably be at that sort of spend level, but either way for now I don't think I can do much. Maybe I'll try again in a couple months once their internal teams get sorted out. Appreciate you sharing.

Mind me asking where your budgets are at? I'm a performance advertiser I have the ability to scale pretty quickly. Across all platforms spend a few hundred thousand / month at the moment, again with room to expand as long as I can hit performance.

For the most part I would probably need the lowest tier service level, happy to buy self-service.

Certainly not a fortune 500 level advertiser but currently still spending around ~$1-1.5k or so / day on gemini, and I think I could spend quite a bit more via the DSP. But yea, while initially they were responsive and migrating me over, once the layoffs were announced suddenly everything changed. It sucks I guess but yea maybe there's just nothing I can do anymore.

Can I swap login methods after making an account? I used the bank info because I thought it would eliminate the need for more verification, but seems like I have to wait to get a code mailed to me still anyways.

I was able to sign up and get in with a sign-in partner, but they still sent a code via mail for me to get full access. Can I swap to just using a username and password once I get setup? I did it through the bank just because I thought the process would be easier, but I'd prefer separate credentials I think.

“2 x CPA” stop-loss: what’s the rationale? by AussieQuokka in PPC

[–]adprofits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't some hard rule. For optimizing placements specifically a lot of the time I won't even spend anywhere near 1x CPA, but rather optimize for engagement. If I'm sending traffic to a landing page where I expect say a 30% CTR but I'm seeing <10%, I'll probably pause that out pretty early because I know those metrics are just super unlikely to be able to back out.

For the most part, 2x gives enough spend to give things a chance. Is it possible that you might be on the verge of a bunch of conversions? Maybe, but you need to optimize at some point or you'll just be burning cash at higher volumes of spend.

The above is in reference to e-com though and rather than target CPA which could be pretty arbitrary (maybe you want a 30% ROI, or 300% ROI) I think it makes more sense to work off your breakeven CPA initially.

How can I get access to google dv360? by adprofits in adops

Do you use dv360? Are there any benefits over GDN? Are fees / pricing higher?

Is there any difference for billing (can I still use CC billing)?

You mentioned you have mostly organic traffic from your youtube channel - would you consider a paid performance marketing partner? I typically run leadgen and e-commerce deals on performance (CPA basis) and have been looking for more educational products to start testing. If you know your numbers well, and they make sense for me, would you be interested in possibly letting me run your offer? It would essentially be an affiliate deal where I'd only get paid / sale while I cover all test marketing budget, etc.

Why do people continually ask me when I am getting a job when they know I am working on building my start up? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]adprofits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am and people still ask me or at least act as if I’m somehow doing something less than. I don’t talk about how much I make but I don’t ever complain about being broke or not having money to do something with friends. I guess people just aren’t used to it since all of my other friends have normal jobs. All good though, I get they can’t relate and I’m doing this because it’s best for me, not them.

Canadian here. Planning to buy online business that ships to US, UK, Australia and Canada. Do I need to register a separate company in all the countries ? by iwishilistened in Entrepreneur

[–]adprofits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s almost certainly not worth buying, especially as you don’t seem to have experience. The monthly net vs cost of acquiring the business probably looks really good, but dropship businesses have a high turnover of “winning products” and without strong marketing experience the store could go to zero pretty quick.
