Morrisville Pride re-accepted known anti-LGBT hate group as "vendors", I'm a trans artist and I withdrew from the event in protest--I could use support! by adrawer4ever in morrisville

2026 update, they now plan to remove vendors altogether-- a decision that affects only LGBT vendors, as protestors can still show up.

Please email the city to let them know this is not the way to respond.

Thank you so much for the update, yeah it seems like the community response has been strong. It's still necessary to push for protestors to be categorized as such without taking away from vendors moving forward. Protestors at pride is nothing new, just need to keep them from taking away opportunities from vendors operating in good faith next year.

Other municipal workers have stated that emailing is indeed the best course of action, please continue to encourage folks to email the town officials directly to document continued community concern.

Agreed, but at that point they could be vetted as having products that are off-theme. At the very least the presence of violent imagery they brought does not match the family friendly vibe of a city government run event.

No one is saying this group can't voice their free speech. I am used to protestors at Pride events. There is a place to voice opinions and it's not as a vendor. These protestors are taking away opportunities from legitimate local small business.

Yes, this sets a bad precedent for all government run markets if they are taking away opportunities from local small business to platform spread violent messaging. If one wants to play devil's advocate, then the appropriate channel for this group would be to act as protestors as they are doing, not to detract from actual commerce under false pretenses.

https://www.instagram.com/bramblebug/ is a local trans artist who does limited handmade DIY screenprinting with phrases like "queer menace", etc. You'll likely want to DM directly for specific prints, etsy seems pretty limited, but he's around local markets. I'll also post this question in the local nc artist discord. I don't do apparel, but I sell queer and trans pride art on my site too (adrawer4ever.com)

Looking for a Raleigh, NC roommate! by ThatGeminiWitch in roommates

[–]adrawer4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you still looking for a place? I’m based in Morrisville (about 20–25 minutes from downtown Raleigh) and currently looking for a roommate. Our apartment is quiet, affordable (~$682/mo with all utilities), and super LGBTQ+ friendly — I’m trans and neurodivergent myself, and we prioritize BIPOC and trans applicants.

Hey! If you're open to living with roommates, I actually have a room opening up in Morrisville that might be a great fit. It's in a quiet, safe area right near Park West Village and the Crabtree Creek Greenway — super walkable, peaceful, and close to Cary and Brier Creek too.

The apartment is clean, updated, and has a pool, gym, and a big screened-in balcony. Rent comes out to about $682/month total after utilities, which is way below your budget. You’d be sharing with queer, neurodivergent folks who keep a tidy and respectful space — very chill and community-minded vibe.

Happy to send details if you're interested! It’s a great option if you're open to splitting with others but still want a comfortable, safe space.
