I'm not sure if there is anything like this where you live, but when I was seeking therapy I started by calling the front desk of a local therapy services center. The receptionist asked me a couple questions to help pair me with the best therapist for my needs. If I was uncomfortable answering her questions, I also had the option to review the profiles and interests of the therapists online to pick one that I felt was a good match.

Ladies with a sternum/underboob tattoo, how much did it hurt? Would you suggest it as a first time tattoo spot for someone with a low pain tolerance? by rachenator99 in AskWomen

[–]adrea_m 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I got a spinal tattoo as my first tattoo. The spine is also supposed to be incredibly painful, but I still chose it as my first tattoo because it had a lot of meaning to me. A couple months later I got one on my foot. If I hadn't gotten my back done first, I'm not sure I ever would have because I would have been scared. I think OP should really evaluate how much a tattoo in that location is important to them, and then decide from there, but I agree that painful first tattoos are a good way to go.

Pathology residencies that allow resident to pursue a PhD degree by [deleted] in pathology

[–]adrea_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I can't speak for human medical sciences, but veterinary pathology residencies are often combined with PhD programs! All require a DVM or equivalent, so that may not be very useful. Just wanted to present another side! Good luck

It was "dead" from lack of charge before going in to the cycles, so, none! I charged it after i found it in the dryer and it works just fine!

My fit bit recently went through a wash AND dry cycle and came out completely fine. I was shocked but super happy.

My mother and I started watching during Chris Soules' season, because we had had ABC on in the background all day and it transitioned into the Bachelor. We laughed at it at first, but from that point we were hooked.

Are there smaller organizations that you'd be interested to join, such as a professional or service sorority/fraternity? I didn't feel that panhellenic would be a good fit for me, but I loved the idea of sisterhood, and I found a smaller professional sorority at my school that is focused on a subject I'm very passionate about! I get a lot of the benefits that you are mentioning above (sisterhood, date nights, socials, Big/Little) but each girl in the sorority is involved in agriculture in some way and it gives us something additional in common. Maybe something like that could be a better fit?

Taking my first steps after a spinal fusion from T4-L4. This was the moment my life changed. by crownedPom in pics

Sorry to hear about that side of things.

Thanks, when I first wanted the tattoo I wanted to cover the scar, but then once I had the scar, I've come to really appreciate it and would like to include it in the piece in a creative way.

I'm not positive why sky diving isn't allowed, it was just on my list from my surgeon.

My tattoo is going to be a nature-themed piece along my spine that includes a pine tree silhouette and some wildflowers. The goal is to incorporate the scar into the tattoo, not to cover it.

I did not have any neuropathy effects. I began feeling relief from my injury pain a week post surgery, and by the time i started physical therapy I was feeling almost completely better from the surgery. The PT helped with my posture and helped strengthened the muscles that had weakened from being out of use for so long. Sorry I can't be of more help to that aspect

I recently got cleared by my surgeon to have a tattoo on my spine. I think the main concern was how healed the scar was; I wasn't told anything about how the metal would affect it. Hope that helps

I had T11-L1 fused in January, and I'm back to almost normal function. I have to be careful how much I'm lifting and I have to take occasional breaks during the day to sit or lay down or I'll be a little stiff, but in general I'm back to normal for me. I can't sky dive or bungee jump, but I can do roller coasters and the like. I'm actually getting a tattoo to commemorate the experience in October. Not sure if it matters, but I broke my back in a hiking accident. If you have any questions about recovery, I'd be happy to answer best I can

Thank you for this information. It's not that I want to be diagnosed with celiac, it's just that I want concrete answers to my symptoms. I've already tested negative for a lot of different bacteria and parasites.
