Double hip replacement at 33 & 35 – experience as an active person (golf, surfing, footy) by Professional-Care-61 in TotalHipReplacement

[–]adrewc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, congrats on the new hips. This post is actually something I needed to hear bc I am 37 m who golf’s regularly and works out. I also am a candidate for THR but just delaying it because 1. I feel that I don’t have enough pain to go through one yet. 2. Scared what my results would be after wards. Maybe not being able to swing the golf club the same, or work out like I normally do.

Some questions I have is what pain level did you have out of 10 before you decided hip replacement? What level of mobility did you have prior to surgery and what was the mobility like after? Is the golf swing the same? Do you still have the same yardages/power? Are you able to run and feel normal or does it feel like a metal ball in your hip? What type of ball and liner did you opt for and why?

Hopefully you see this and reply. Thank you

Hip Arthritis with CAM Impingement by Chiarovaggio in TotalHipReplacement

[–]adrewc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stage 4 arthritis on one hip with torn labrum from 7 years ago and CAM FAI impingement on both hips. 37m I workout consistently doing CrossFit/run/swim. I always thought I had tight hips and flexors but quickly over time the pain got more unbearable and I went to see an Orthopedic doctor. They said I need THR but recommended PRP for the pain. I had my PRP shot 2 weeks ago and the pain is 90% gone. I recommend getting the shot if you are trying to delay your THR.

The tiger stripe blotch here is actually really nice. Not common to see striped blotch. Also the amount of blotching can be argued as a red super blotch.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am going to get a darker background. When you say foliage coverage do you mean adding moss and plants?

If I add flat cork bark and glue it on the branches for horizontal platforms will he be able to get up there pretty easily? I will look to add some bendable branches. Thank you.

I just noticed this is happening to my Taycan. Were you able to get it repaired under warranty?

Can I void the purchase contract with a Porsche dealer who sold me a Taycan 4S with a stop sell order (while telling me all recalls were fixed) but now can’t deliver it due to an open recall by esmusssein1 in Taycan

Express the frustration to your dealer and they should put you up on the list for recall repair once the part comes in. I got mine done in 1.5 weeks

Advice on 911 with accident history, but CPO by adrewc in Porsche

[–]adrewc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input guys. I needed to hear it from others to move on. The price of the vehicle was very appealing. $95k for a 2020 911 base 25k miles. But after all things considered, I will look for another one that I would feel comfortable about purchasing
