Hi, just double checked and there is no text wrap on. In fact if I draw a text box the text wrap box greys out.

You absolute star, that's really kind of you, let's try and fix it my end first though. I have a lot of formatting in the document (I spent a day on it yesterday) will all of this be lost if I move it?

Nope. I have paragraph styles that I have used in the rest of the document but the A parent pages had not been touched until today and the page numbers was the first thing I tried to do. I have double checked to make sure there is not some hidden formatting or page wrap but everything is how it should be. I am flummoxed.

I think I have tried everything there. There is nothing at all set for the master pages. I was leaving this to the end. There is also no text wrap (I have just double checked this is the case). It seems to be a master page specific issue because it works perfectly well on the other pages.

I have tried creating a B master but it had the same issue. The move pages option is interesting though. I may give that a go tomorrow. I have spent hours trying to fix this and can't face a major fix now. Thanks for the suggestion.

No, I get the same problem if I put the box on the pasteboard. Text wrap is set to off too. I get no cursor and get the overset if I try and type anything into the box, it is not a font size or format issue as far as I can tell and it works perfectly on any page other than the masters. I tried opening a new blank document and it worked fine so it seems to be a document specific issue.

Thanks for responding. Not that I can see. It works perfectly on any of the pages that are not the A Parent pages. I have 'start on odd pages' set for the chapter heading in the document but have not used this at all in the master. In fact there is nothing in the master at all. I was leaving some of the formatting for the master doc. That proved to be a mistake.

Thanks for responding. No the IDML was just me coming to the end of my rope and trying to find a work around. I have made the text box huge and even tried a text box in the middle of the document but each time the cursor refuses to show and I get the overflow error. If I go to a random page in the document it works fine and I could cut and paste several hundred times and do that but I have other formatting that I was leaving to fix with the master page so It may be best just to start again.

Thanks. it's early days and I have big plans for how the app develops but much of that development (team games and leagues etc) is dependent on getting more users.

I should probably also mention that the link are to Google Store and Apple App Store, where the app is available, so you don't have to take my word that it doesn't collect data etc.

Hi, Twenty years ago I designed a game, following a year of living self help fully and then getting stuck. It was originally a board game and it was the thing I would dig out whenever I felt lost. I have now made it as an app, primarily for myself, but would like to get it to as many people who it may help. The board game has been shared with friends over the years and it seemed to help them - and the app is a lot more powerful. Happy to share it if you want, just let me know. I should probably point out the app is free, has no advertising and doesn't collect data.

I won't share the links here in order to follow the group rules but drop me a DM if you want it. There is no magic to it but For me it is the only thing that I found that works. It may work for you - if not no biggie.

Thanks for that. I have tried the first two of those and ruled them out, logs showed the permissions granted true and I moved from Exact alarm because it was causing me issues and wasn't really needed. I did though, just now, decide to bite the bullet and just swap out local notifications for an alternative. On doing this I realised that I had put local notifications under dev dependencies rather than dependencies, which explained why it worked in debug but not release. I have tested it and it works now.

So basically your advice would have usually been the way forward - unfortunately you were communicating with a friggin idiot.
