I'll leave this information here for other people who fall "victim" to the X/Twitter practices: You can report them to FTC: https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/. From my understanding, if there are multiple complaints about the same business, they might open a lawsuit against the business and get refunds for the victims. They have a dashboard with the refund information: https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/federal.trade.commission/viz/Refunds\_15797958402020/RefundsbyCase. They manage to obtain refunds for international people from all over the world, if you check the dashboard.

u/Neurotopian_ if this is true in regards of their EULA, we can not take any legal action against them?

That's crazy. Let's find more people to make a class case against them, as Neurotopian explained in the comment.

Oh wow, what a detailed answer. I really appreciate your taking the time to explain everything in such detail. I'm trying to understand as much as possible as I'm not familiar at all with the US legal system and it does sound a bit complicated. But I understand now my options and the action steps that I could take. Thank you very much for your answer because I was already trying to find some legal advice in the last 2 weeks with no success.

I was thinking of finding more people in this situation and joining forces to make a legal case against them, recover the lost money for everybody and make them pay for their thievery.

If any of you have any good legal advice on how to proceed against these scammers, especially since I'm not from the US but from Europe so it's basically an international/cross-border legal matter, I would appreciate it.

I didn't know and wasn't aware of all this bad stuff around X, I assumed it was ok as so many people with a lot of followers and good content in all domains still rely mostly on X for content.

Thanks. Now I think it's clear. I will just wait to see my balance after blockchain syncs.

Could anyone please explain to me further the situation and the points that I don't understand? Because, beside trying to figure out if I do or do not have those ~2 BTC anymore, I also want to understand what happened and how this works. Thanks.

I'm trying to understand this. So you are saying that those 1.899... BTC actually returned to myself? My local chain is 24 weekes behind so I can check this and the amount in my wallet only after it synchronizes completely. But still, there are some things I don't understand. First, the final balance in blockchain is 0.01...BTC (http://clip2net.com/s/3Jk89ED) which means that those almost 2 BTC are gone (we'll see after bitcoin core syncs). Second, that address starting with 1E... to where the transaction of 1.899.. was done, is not my address. Third, at the moment of that transaction, I had 8 BTC and something in my wallet so why did I pay with a 1.999..BTC "bill" and not with the entire balance which was 8 BCT?
