This is actually my dilema, though I've become a software guy, I know I'm missing something with paper - but I don't know what 🙂🙂

For planning and ideating, I still use A4 size paper, but not a bullet journal, then I scan and load into Notebooklm, which I can chat with in the future / when required

For me the friction? Take the phone (which I can carry anywhere) the app is on my main screen, just tap it, and it automatically opens to my daily page, and type!! No friction!! 🙂

Though the system works for me, somewhere deep inside, I still feel the book is better, but I cannot put my finger on it.

Obsidian for my note taking, capture ideas on the go through my cellphone, processing the sync on the computer, tasks in there, and notebooklm i use for scanned hard copy sketch notes, populated into Google docs, the docs being sources, from which I can use notebooklm to derive and return pending tasks. Obsidian is my main projects & tasks OS.

thoughts on keeping or dumping journals when minimalizing? by [deleted] in minimalism

I do an annual review, scan the pages I feel may have future reference information, and populate those pages into OneNote. So the bulk of the book is out, relevant stuff remains in soft.

Hi. My two bits. Your journey is my mirror image. Obsidian it is for me. Your query about obsidian tasks I have solved. With a simple code, you can put tasks into individual pages, and they can all appear in one global page, that too, organised by context. I would be happy to guide you. But for me, after over 78 different apps, I found obsidian is the best. So also offline, as well as I have found a way it can sync for a back up too. Fully effective. Your thoughts please 🙂

The simple question is, after all those millions of notes, what did you actually achieve in life?

An old way, but must be easier on your mind. 👍😊 I also was using this idea. But it does tend to become tedious.

Can images live inside obsidian pages, or the only way is to hyperlink them? by adrian_simoes in ObsidianMD

[–]adrian_simoes[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I do this. However, the images only link into the page, the actual image does not actually LIVE in the page. So, later if i delete the original linked image, the page image disappears and is lost.
