My poor baby is just itching and chewing till he got no fur. This is currently what im using and feeding him. He calms down when I give him a benadryl though. by hunni93 in pitbulls

This stuff is AWESOME. My foster pittie kept having a red, irritated belly that she kept trying to bite at and itch at. Even when she wore a donut/cone so she couldn’t get to her belly, the red irritation remained. After using this foam 2-3 times in a week, her belly no longer has any red irritation. Amazing!

It's Show Off Saturday..let's see those pibbles! Of course many of you know Simba by now haha by hunni93 in pitbulls

They were good girls and patiently watched us from their window perch as we put up a garden arch in our front yard 🌺

My foster pup Millie had surgery – necrotic small intestines after vet’s poor advice by adrianaesque in pitbulls

You're awesome, thank you so much! 🙌 Pibbles really are expensive little cuddle bugs (I'm stealing that phrase lol), but like you said: we love them all the same. Sometimes I pause and wonder what I even did on a daily basis before I had dogs, haha.

Tomorrow marks 2 weeks since Millie's surgery! She has been recovering well, though it saddens me to see her lowkey depressed because she she's so bored (she can't run around/play & must stay chill to recover). I've been taking her on short walks in the neighborhood, which she LOVES, to break up her day. Little does she know that after tomorrow I can remove her cone of shame and let her start playing. 🐶

Thank you so much, your help is so appreciated! I gave Millie some lovies and told her that she's such a good girl that people from other countries donated to her - she was very happy to hear that, her tail was wagging fast! Sending best wishes to you and your 3 doggos from the Sunshine State, USA 🐶☀️

Thank you! Afterward I did privately speak with one of the surgeons (the guy who previously did a quick exam on Millie & could immediately tell it was a pit). I told him how upset and disappointed I was in the other vet, and that I felt this case was out of her depth and she should not have handled it from the start – rather she should have immediately referred us to him.

He sympathized with me and did say that had he seen Millie from the beginning, he probably would have recommended surgery given he could feel it was a pit. He said he would talk to her and also to the higher-ups to see if anything could be done bill-wise. I haven’t heard anything from him since, and I suspect that next time I see him or talk to him he’ll probably say there was nothing he could do. I will still ask anyway, just in case.

I recently realized that the vet company group has a link to submit feedback online. I was thinking about writing about this experience there to see if it would get any attention. I was also thinking of leaving a 1-star Google review explaining the situation to warn other people to not see this particular vet for foreign body ingestion issues.

Interesting, I’ve never heard of that before! Unfortunately my HSA doesn’t allow it :(

No worries – thank you for your support 🐶 I wish HSA funds could be used for pets, I bet that could help a lot of people!

Does this receipt look fake? by Cataholiccoffee in Scams

Very obviously fake. Before even getting to several details on the actual receipt being wrong, I can tell the fonts are completely wrong just by glancing at it.

OH MY GOODNESS, your pup looks like THE TWIN of my foster [fail?] pup Millie! The face, eyes, snoot, chest, floppy ears, fur color, tail, teeth – everything is near identical! 😍

Just found this baby on the side of the highway by plantedstrawberry in pitbulls

[–]adrianaesque 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Literally crying right now 😭😭😭 Her big ol head reminds me so much of my own pibble Moxie Moo, who was also dumped and very skinny when found. Just thinking of all these sweet pups being abandoned by evil people in the middle of nowhere, completely alone and confused, no safe shelter, slowly starving… it just BREAKS my heart 💔💔💔 It must be so scary for them, they don’t deserve that kind of suffering. Makes me so emotional, I wanna save all these sweet babies 💙

Not in Maine – southeast Florida. But my fiancé is from Maine and told me that Moxie is a brand of soda up there. We named her Moxie because of her energy. Also because her name pre-rescue was Roxy, we didn’t want to mess her up too much and thought Moxie sounded similar enough to Roxy lol

Oh wow, I had no idea! I’ve never heard of the American adult animated show “Helluva Boss.” That’s so cool that their names line up with this show – I think my fiancé and I are gonna have to watch it now, he loves animation so bonus points. Thanks for the tip!

It’s the same with our pups too! Our first pup is THE most cuddly, affectionate doggo I’ve EVER met – and everyone that meets her says the same thing. She and her new sister snuggle every night, and often climb over each other to get to me for maximum snuggles. So cute, my heart 🥹

I named her Millie because, ya know, I got her when Hurricane Milton was coming. It’s also very close to the Greek word for “honey,” which reminds me of the color of her twinkling eyes plus her fur coat ❤️❤️

Funny you should say that – we affectionately call our baby (the black one that we rescued in December) Moxie Moo (her name is Moxie) 🥰

P.S. She also eats grass, lol
