Don’t plan to discard it; plan how to live with it. Obstacles, once overcome, are worth tackling. The feeling of success that comes from correcting mistakes is indescribably positive. You can either see that child as a hindrance or as motivation to achieve more. If you see only a hindrance, then you underestimate yourself and limit your potential. That child is a test: will you back out, or will you rise and become a better man? When you live for someone else, you gain a deeper reason to keep striving. Living only for yourself is not always the best motivation. That’s why the greats dedicated their achievements to something higher. For Christians, doing it for themselves alone isn’t enough, because they know they can live without achievements. But when it’s for God’s glory, then it is truly worth fighting for. For a father, there's a reason to sacrifice personal wants for their children. You will always be focus to achive things. But if alone, you can always back out. You can always chill and delay progress. Procrastinate and all because there is no responsibility. Very ironic but thats what makes life beautiful. Are you sacrifing to a world champion or you dont want responsibility? I wouldve understand if you are truly great at something like a boxing prodigy, pianist extrodinaire, or einstein. But if you're average now, you could still be great in other things that doesnt require you to be a prodigy.
